When every point counts

With 9 teams in the heat of the battle to avoid the drop playing each other almost every round of matches, their positions in the  Premier League Table are changing regularly. So I thought I would make a points table based on the last 5 matches of each team and see if that might give us some hope for the remaining 9 games. These positions are based on the last 5 matches each team has played, the points gained and the current goal difference.

               Pld    Pts   	GD

1. Leeds	5	6	-11

2. Toffees	5	6	-18

3. Bournemouth	5	6	-30

4. WHU 5	4	-9

5. Wolves	5	4	-19

6. Forest	5	3	-28

7. Palace	5	3	-15

8. Leicester	5	1	-11

9. Southampton	5	1	-24

So at the moment, along with Leeds, Bournemouth, we are one of the “form” teams!

If each team maintains their recent form for the next five games, the table could look like this!

1. Leeds 35
2. Palace 35
3. Wolves 34
4. Toffees 33
5. WHU 32
6. Bournemouth 32
7. Leicester 30
8. Forest 30
9. Southampton 28

It was always going to be like this from January, when many where talking automatic regulation. But it was never going to be that black and white. There was always going to be swings and round abouts with team around Everton going to win and lose This was especially going to be the case with half the Premier League being in the mix.I expect other teams to join the mix and changing of Managers to add even more fluctuations.

On Saturday on Talksport a Chelsea Supporters warned against a fall into a relegation struggle, much to the disbelief of the presenters.

But strange things may happen.Everton under Dyche have purposely progressing on consistently improving stats. Not a bad way to be in the run in till the end of the season.
