Blame it on the Boogie!

Newcastle Utd on Thursday, followed by Leicester City on Monday — some might say it is 5 days that will define (for good or ill) our fate.

If the footballing gods are kind to us... and the next time they are will probably be – Coleman's shot-cum-cross against Arsenal excepted – the first time this season. All well and good, keep it tight until the end of May, job done – now to put pressure on, if we can, to get the off-field side sorted.

But if not, don't blame those 5 days. You don't get relegated because you lost games in May, you get relegated because you lost games in August, November and January!

Blame it, if you need to, on these 5 games either side of the World Cup: Bournemouth, Wolves, Brighton, Southampton and West Ham. Blame "Frank – terribly nice – but Wank", and blame any set of 5 days after the Bournemouth game and before the Wolves game.

If the tossers in charge had the inclination to open their eyes and but half a brain to read the writing on the wall, they may have got rid of "Frank – still no wins at Chelsea with supposed better players... and still Wank" earlier. We should've left him on Bondi Beach and said, "There you go, Reggie Perrin… now Fuck Off!"

While I'm playing The Blame Game, if the late Brucie were to ask about the players in those 5 games, "Didn’t they do well?" Well, the answer would be resoundingly, No! They did not.

Yet the same players managed to rouse themselves for a draw away to 2nd  placed Manchester City and a win Arsenal, top of the Premier League… Why was that then, lads???

Don't blame it on the sunshine,
Don't blame it on the moonlight,
Don't blame it on (Kenwright's) good times…
Blame it on the boogie...

And those 5 games (plus of course, many other factors all well covered elsewhere).

I happen to think we'll get 4 points from these next two games – if not… don't blame me!

Blame it on the Boogie!

Derek,

I think you are wrong on two counts, I believe we will get 6 points from those two games, not 4, and Seamus Coleman's goal was against Leeds, not Arsenal.

I wouldn't mind him getting another one tonight though!!
