Everton U18s lose at Chelsea
Chelsea U18s 2 - 1 Everton U18s
Everton U18s travelled to Cobham Training Centre where they lost to Chelsea in the U18 Premier League Cup today after taking the lead.Â
The other teams in Group B are Derby County and Southampton. Everton are in 2nd place in the group table, behind Southampton on goal difference, after they beat Derby County in the first group game last month.Â
Everton took the lead after 15 minutes when the Chelsea keeper let a 25-yard shot from Apter slip through his grasp. Smikle-James should have made it 2-0 but shot wide when one-on-one with the keeper before Chelsea equalised in the 29th minute.
Minutes later, the home side went ahead... and that's how it stayed at half-time and through the second half.
Everton U18s: Graham, Dixon/Quintyne, Wright [Y:2'] (82' Tierney), Wilson, I Samuels-Smith, Patterson [Y:62'], Heath (79' Beaumont-Clark), Apter [Y:27'], Smikle-James (62' Sherif), Djankpata (63' Bates), Ebere.
Subs not Used: Lukjanciks.

Jack Patterson. Not seen him but he's a regular starter now – played all 6 games so far this season.

I had to "do a Danny" and take the hound on a hike.
I saw that Callum Bates story too.

I don't mind standing in for you and doing your dog a favour when you take it for a walk. I hope you take a little bag with you when it does its business!!

Yep, first appearance on the team sheet for Doug Lukjanciks. He's now moved up to U16 for England so he's likely recently turned 15 or about to turn 15.
We won two tournaments last season with him in goal one at U14, the other U15, so he looks to be quite a talent. He's so young he won't even be in the next Scholars' intake. If the suggestions about his talent are true we could see him start at U18 soon this season.

Has anyone seen the young Irish lad Patterson yet? Signed for us while still at school, quite a few clubs were interested but he chose the Blues.
