Baz asks some really great questions that acknowledge the balancing act the manager has to perform between what fans wants and what the players need. To Lampard's credit, he speaks openly and candidly for the most part. Credit should also to the club for allowing him the access. Hopefully the start of more engagement with fan media from club staff and players. Michael Lynch 3 Posted 23/11/2022 at 18:44:05 Very good interview - it felt like a chat over dinner or in the pub, very open, honest and realistic. Highlights for me were Frank laughing about being told to tell the lads to take a few more shots – I thought that was hilarious – and towards the end, talking about how he wants to mould the team into something the fans want, and he knows that isn't tika taka.Fascinating, by far the best interview I've seen with Lampard. Kieran Kinsella 4 Posted 23/11/2022 at 18:57:40 LyndonHe certainly seems well aware of where we are and where we want to go. Interesting comments on our wingers not getting that easy goals and getting out of their comfort zones. Brendan McLaughlin 5 Posted 23/11/2022 at 21:50:20 I don't think anyone doubts that Frank can talk the talk... Tony Abrahams 6 Posted 23/11/2022 at 22:07:08 I don't often take much notice, because I believe football is just full of lip-service, but I listened to Lampard talking after today's game, and the man made a lot of sense. He's a football man, and he's been around the game all his life, but management is different, especially in the unforgiving EPL, so I'm hoping Frank Lampard is given the time to turn us around. 🤞 Add Your Comments In order to post a comment, you need to be logged in as a registered user of the site. » Log in now Or Sign up as a ToffeeWeb Member — it's free, takes just a few minutes and will allow you to post your comments on articles and Talking Points submissions across the site.
