Everton U18s concede the lead late to draw with Wolves

Everton U18s 1 - 1 Wolves U18s

Everton U18s were beating Wolves in the U18 Premier League at Finch Farm tonight until the 90th minute.

This is a rearranged game that was postponed in January when Everton U18s were in the middle of their current 7-game unbeaten streak in the league. But they remain strictly mid-table in 7th place, just 1 point behind tonight's visitors.

A number of schoolboys are included (Van Schoor, Foster, Finney) but go unmentioned in the bizarre line-up of only 9 players and 4 subs listed on the official Everton Website

Everton U18s took the lead through Jason Beaumont-Clark after the half-hour mark, and held on to that lead right up to the last minute of normal time, when Wolves equalized.

A very young team by the looks of it, not seen Van Schoor, Catesby, Davis, Pickford or Foster starting before and Finney on the bench is new to me as well.

Young 17 yr old player called Coby Ebere just come on for us. I’ve looked him up, 6 goals in 10 appearances so far, eligible to pay for Nigeria and for England, been at Everton since the age of 11. One to follow his progress, has anyone watched him, Phill, Dave maybe ?

Tony (2) Coby has played at u21 level, and in the Youth Cup. Quite tall, attacks from the left and has a decent turn of pace.

Pickford in goal! Regressing fast. Some said drop him but that's ridiculous.

Usual question. Any links for this?

I'm assuming that's a typo or we have a younger Pickford?

Danny (5),

Yes, it's George Pickford, who has been on the U18s bench a couple of times. No relation, as far as know.

Missed that one then. Thanks Trevor.

Regardless of the result, for those who were able to watch, how did the boys play?

A 90h minute penalty, sounds like the lads played well though and were the better team.

Where has Jack Patterson, the young Northern Irish lad, gone?
