The full team of contributors convenes to discuss what was a big missed chance to pick up maximum points at Forest, a game that had plenty of positives but just heaps pressure on the next fixture against an in-form Brentford side at Goodison Park this coming weekend.

They then name some of Everton's most pointless signings from the Premier League era.

How dare you all forget the one and only Per Kroldrup. Bought for £6.8m in July 2005 from Udinese and sold to Fiorentina in January 2006 for £4.0m Played 1 Premiership game at Villa and 1 FA Cup game at home to Millwall,

Rumour has it that one of the coaches walked into Moyes office and said to him - That new Centre Back, you do know he can't head a ball !!!!!

Thanks as always gentlemen. I like listening to other views to keep me real. Otherwise, I'd drift into a 1980s dreamworld hoping that Kevin Sheedy will be starting on Saturday!

At the time I thought it was a penalty with the challenge on Seamus, but watching it back, I'm not so sure. It looks like it could have gone either way and had that been against us, maybe we'd have felt aggrieved. That's me being honest but I guarantee if that's on Salah in front of the Kop, it's a no-brainer.

Brentford haven't lost in 12 games? Well 13 is the traditional unlucky number.

We can win games and others around us will lose games. We have enough to do this. Starting Saturday.

In terms of lack of depth, I've been a scratched record for years on that. Once the injuries and suspensions kick in and we scratch the surface, there is not a lot in the closet. It's been like for seasons.

When we stay up and if Forest go down, I'd be looking at Brendan Johnson if I was Thelwell.

Right, let's get set for Brentford and give them a traditional Goodison welcome.

Certainly a pointless signing was Simon Davies.

We acquired him just after we finished 4th in 2005, paid £4.5M for him, which was a lot for this club at the time, more than we paid for Cahill and Arteta combined, and he did absolutely nothing.

Why did we sign a Spurs cast-off when we were trying to get into the Champions League? What the hell did Moyes see in him?

I can recall his chief apologist, Barry Horne, arguing with Blues on post-match phone-ins after his endless anonymous performances for us.

Awful player and pointless signing.

To be fair, Ste, Simon Davies seemed like a decent Moyes signing; a hard-working, versatile midfielder with no little skill. He did fine at Spurs and pretty good after us at Fulham, just for some reason he was consistently, unrelentingly, inexplicably dogshite for us in pretty much every game he played.
