The first half started in scorching 37 C heat, on even hotter Astroturf but the Blues looked to have adjusted to the searing temperatures, forcing some good chances in the first half, and surviving an offside goal disallowed for their opponents from Delhi, but they could not get past the excellent Sudeva Delhi goalkeeper.

There was some more decent play but Everton were denied what looked to be a valid goal (it certainly wasn't offside) after the impressive Coby Ebere knocked the ball out the keeper's hands and Issac Heath forced it over the line.

But right at the end, substitute Jacob Beaumont-Clark rattled a rebound into the net to win the game for Everton.

Everton U19s:  Graham, Dixon/Quintyine (55' O Samuels-Smith), Jones, Butterfield (36' Apter), Barker, Djankpata, Heath, Bates (55' Beaumont-Clark), Ebere, Maher, Moonan.
