Rob Halligan 3 Posted 09/08/2023 at 22:33:37 New ground for me, John. Barry Hesketh 4 Posted 09/08/2023 at 22:36:23 We played Doncaster in the FA Cup in 1985 at Goodison, can't remember playing at their place, during my time of watching. We've only met them eight times in total, and only three at their home. We've yet to beat them on their ground, having lost twice and drawn once in Division Two. In the first meeting between the sides at Goodison in 1939, Everton romped to an 8-0 win in the FA Cup John Raftery 5 Posted 09/08/2023 at 22:39:07 Rob (3), I ticked the Keepmoat off a few years ago. Saw them lose 0-3 to Walsall. Compact stadium, we should get an allocation of at least 3,000. John Raftery 6 Posted 09/08/2023 at 22:44:44 Barry (4),We also hammered them 7-1 in the old Division 2 in September 1952. The Snodin brothers played in that game in 1985. Ian later went on to manage them for a brief period. Brian Wilkinson 7 Posted 09/08/2023 at 23:43:07 Hoping to get a ticket for the game; if not, I have family up there, might be a home job for me on the night.I've been to the old Belle Vue ground, but not the Keepmoat Stadium. Brian Wilkinson 8 Posted 09/08/2023 at 23:54:21 Eco-Power Stadium now, should have kept the Keepmoat name, but that's sponsorship for you. Alan McGuffog 9 Posted 10/08/2023 at 01:07:32 Tough away tie but at least it wasn't Port Vale. Phew ! David McMullen 10 Posted 10/08/2023 at 10:19:22 The start of a road to silverware. For someone. Let's hope it's us. David McMullen 11 Posted 10/08/2023 at 10:24:38 I was at that last match against Doncaster in the FA Cup 4th round in '85 (plus the Telford and Ipswich games).I saw the Leeds game the other week on YouTube and if I'm not mistaken it was the ensemble XI with Inchy being injured he was interviewed on the TV about the game. Here's hoping for another run to Wembley. Dave Abrahams 12 Posted 10/08/2023 at 10:25:46 I was at Doncaster in the season we were promoted, 2-0 down with about 10 minutes to go, we pulled it back to 2-2. I'm not sure of the scorers, I think Dave Hickson got one of the goals.70 bleedin' years ago, doesn't time fly when you're having fun? Not with Everton, I'm afraid!! John Raftery 13 Posted 10/08/2023 at 17:09:43 I was one year old then, Dave. Little did I know what was in store. Paul Ferry 14 Posted 10/08/2023 at 17:42:37 We can do this. Brian Wilkinson 15 Posted 10/08/2023 at 18:47:25 Bloody hell, Dave, how old are you? I thought you were in your late 60s when we met up, looking good mate. Billy Shears 16 Posted 10/08/2023 at 18:55:41 Isn't it about time we won this fucking thing! Robert Tressell 17 Posted 10/08/2023 at 19:26:11 Quite right, Billy #16. I want to see us go all out for both cups this season. Let's start behaving like a big club again and start to try winning trophies. Dave Lynch 18 Posted 10/08/2023 at 19:35:50 Robert... go all out for the cups!We will have to go all out to stop us being relegated, for fuck's sake.I posted on here a while ago: we will be scrapping round for cast-offs and leftovers on deadline day, and I stand by that. Michael Kenrick 19 Posted 11/08/2023 at 15:45:08 The game at Doncaster will take place on Wednesday, 30 August with an 8 pm kick-off, and has been selected for broadcast by Sky Sports. Brian Wilkinson 20 Posted 11/08/2023 at 15:48:48 Will be in Doncaster that week, so will be either sat in the away end, home end, or a pub close to the stadium, watching on sky.
