Agree Paul. Won't be fun to watch but I'd prefer they wait to change managers until they have someone intended to stay long term.

We've only had eight league wins this calendar year, with the first victory coming against Burnley in April, another four wins followed close together and we've had only three wins this season, one in September, one in October and one this month.

Goodbye and good riddance to 2024, let's hope that 2025 is far better for Everton.

I have it on speed dial Derek, seriously though I was thinking about that run of wins towards the end of the season, and I wondered if some of the players believed that Sean Dyche would be removed after the end of the last campaign and that might explain why we had such a poor start to this one? Of course that's pure speculation on my behalf and it's probably more to do with our players being completely useless at attacking.

Fred, I have to think that a good number of our players do not enjoy working under Dyche, not least when he shoves them under the bus as he did in his post-Forest presser.

Fred, thanks again mate, I think you are probably right regarding the 'survival' being down to the players, rather than anything Dyche conjured up. The realisation that they could be in the Championship, served as a wake up call. Unfortunately, I fail to see that happening again, lightning rarely strikes in the same place twice !

A lot of people seem to forget that if Dyche did indeed save us last April then it was from himself and the shocking desolate mid-December/Spring no-win sequence that he was responsible for.

Dyche saved us from Dyche.

A sobering end to the year.
Wolves are resurgent and Ipswich beat Chelsea by two goals.
That's two of the "Three worse teams" showing the way to escape the drop.
Our current manager and coaches will not match this level of performance nor adopt any sort of attacking style.
These guys are Stuck in the rut of lump it forward with fingers crossed or Hope for set pieces to grab the odd goal, it hasn't worked well so far, it isn't working now and only a fool would expect this current stagnant "Tactic" to elevate us above more ambitious teams.
Someone has to make sense of our profit and sustainability situation now and sell / sack / buy / loan/ return failed loan(s) and above all else introduce some positive coaching best utilising the few good players we have.
Think I'll watch Howards Way this afternoon...
