Ex-Everton coach Craig Shakespeare has sadly passed away at the age of just 60.

A statement from the League Managers Association read:

"Craig passed away peacefully this morning at home surrounded by his family."

After enjoying success as Claudio Ranieri's assistant during their stunning 2016 Premier League title triumph, Shakespeare had a brief spell as first team coach at Everton in the 2017-18 season under Sam Allardyce.

Managed the team in our last European match, the 3-0 win in Cyprus in December 2017.

God rest his soul. Too many depart too young.

Thank you for your service to Everton.
