Everton have picked up 18-year-old Francis Gomez from Sporting Supreme in Nigeria to add to their Finch Farm development side.

The Gambian midfielder has now joined Lyon on loan for the 2024-25 season.

John Textor has had a very busy deadline day! He congratulated Orel Mangala on his move to EFC having obviously been involved in that deal and was apparently the driving force behind trying to get the Nuamah deal completed. Shame that one didn't come off.
