Everton have signed 16-year-old midfielder Justin Clarke from League Two club AFC Wimbledon, after paying a 'six-figure fee' to secure his registration.
Clarke has come through the Dons’ academy and made his debut aged 15 when coming off the bench in an EFL Trophy clash against Wycombe Wanderers. In doing so, he became the London outfit’s youngest player ever.
He will join Everton Academy's U18s where a group of fresh faces are starting the season under Leighton Baines in the U18 Premier League.

Nicely written. (The accompanying message from my friend less so…)

We have a decent blend of experience (Gueye, Tarkowski, Young and Pickford), but an increasingly young squad.
Good luck to him.

Just wondering – why not leave him playing for Wimbledon and delay his move to the summer?

I'll get my coat.
Seriously, good luck lad. Hopefully we'll get to see you in the first team one day.
