Derek Powell 4 Posted 27/01/2025 at 20:53:55 Finished 2-2 no sign of mills quite a few missing Brian Wilkinson 5 Posted 27/01/2025 at 21:08:21 Issac Heath looks decent, Omari Benjamin as well, took Sherif off after 60 mins where I reckon he will train with the first team rest of the week. Was surprised Mills or Iroegbunam were not in the squad tonight. Derek Knox 6 Posted 27/01/2025 at 21:23:29 Brian W, watched the game too, Isaac Heath looked decent, they all played well until second half where they took foot off the gas and let them back in. Whether they are up to first team standard is debatable, but any port in a storm if need be ! Dave Abrahams 7 Posted 27/01/2025 at 21:24:27 Benjamin with the first goal, he then got the penalty which Sherif scored from.Kingsford Boakye came on as a sub. this kid was signed last January and was thought of as a big promising newcomer, then went missing, came back, did one again and is now back, ——“ Oh here we are again happy as can be all good friends and jolly good company” I hope he bleedin stays here and proves to be a great signing! Dennis Stevens 8 Posted 27/01/2025 at 21:28:27 Dixon's still nippy, I see John Raftery 9 Posted 27/01/2025 at 21:39:38 Dixon is one of the fastest players I have ever seen. I have not sure he yet has the quality or composure to be effective at Premier League level. Danny O'Neill 10 Posted 27/01/2025 at 21:45:36 Danny O'Neill 11 Posted 27/01/2025 at 21:46:11 He does have pace to burn John.Maye with the injury list, there is an opportunity to have him closer to the first team squad?Obviously not starring; but an option from the bench?? Brian Wilkinson 12 Posted 27/01/2025 at 21:48:21 Make a good right winger Dixon, needs some work on his defending. David Bromwell 13 Posted 28/01/2025 at 08:03:33 There is something desperately wrong with the way we and others develop young players since after 10 plus years of training and coaching so very few progress to the first team. Young Dixon looks like a good example. Just one first team appearance, when most of us thought he did OK and then apparently nothing. I would love to think that our youth set up was the life blood of the Club and given greater prominence. That has to be better than searching the transfer market at the eleventh hour for cut price bargain's. Dave Abrahams 14 Posted 28/01/2025 at 09:34:05 David (13), Dixon also played in the league cup tie v Southampton and gave two silly fouls away, Southampton scored their goal from one of the free kicks.I think the Academy has needed looking at for a long time, the way it has been run and who is running it and especially who is appointing the coaches, individual skill and natural ability is not seemed to encouraged, they mostly play like robots, that is why I like the look of Braiden Graham who plays to his natural ability, I hope it is not coached out of him! Dave Williams 15 Posted 28/01/2025 at 12:15:18 Spit on Dave. Its easy to coach how to defend, how to press but very difficult to coach how to dribble or how to find the killer pass. Our staff has been a case of jobs for the boys for far too long now. We need to recruit the best and get rid of the dross Dave Abrahams 16 Posted 28/01/2025 at 12:21:26 Dave (15), “ Spit on Dave” thanks Dave! I knew what you meant Dave LOL so no problem! Dave Williams 17 Posted 28/01/2025 at 12:26:52 Sorry Dave! You around for a pre match beer this week? Danny O'Neill 18 Posted 28/01/2025 at 13:22:11 Defender's Union Dave W. We'll have to have that conversation when we next meet up!!! And yes, I'll be defensive (pun intended!!), as the failed midfielder, who got told he'd be better off playing in defence. Dave Abrahams 19 Posted 28/01/2025 at 15:53:23 Dave (17), No I wont be going for a drink Dave but it would be a pleasure to have a drink with you if I was, the distance you and your fellow coach fans travel always amazes me, Ill definitely have a drink with you at Wembley in the semi final or final! Dave Williams 20 Posted 28/01/2025 at 18:32:53 Fingers crossed Dave!
