STADIUM TOURS

Get to the heart of Goodison Park

The "Goodison Experience" Stadium Tour comes highly recommended.  One visitor said:

It really is excellent! One of the guides is Dave Hickson (I don't know much about him, but he said he's played for all 3 Merseyside clubs, and all the old blokes were worshipping him!) You get to see the trophy room, dressing room, directors box, dug outs and walking down the tunnel onto the pitch. We went on Friday morning and the kit was all laid out in the dressing room ready, we got to touch it and everything! (Am I getting obsessive?)

It is gives you a great feel of the club, and what it is to be a Blue. I went with a Mackem, and he was really impressed. I felt so proud to be a Toffee by the end!!

Tours take place at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, except on matchdays or Friday afternoons before or a home game.  Tours are advertised in the Matchday Programme, and you can read more about them on CarlingNet – Note: their prices are out of date!

  • Prices for the 1998-99 Season are £4.00 for each adult, £3.00 for each child or senior citizen

You have to book ahead and buy tickets before hand. Call the Promotions Office -- Phone: (0151) 330-2266.

 FINCH FARM TRAINING GROUND
The current home of Everton's training facilities is Finch Farm in Halewood. The full postal address is:

Finch Farm
Finch Lane, Halewood
Liverpool

After initially looking for land within Liverpool's city limits, Everton eventually chose a 55-acre parcel of greenbelt land on Finch Lane in Halewood as the site for the training complex that would replace Bellefield.

The Club acquired the land in 2005 and sold it on for £2.1m and developed a state-of-the-art facility under ROM Capital, an arm of the group now known as Hudson Capital Partners, which boasts 10 full-size grass pitches, an all-weather synthetic pitch, specialist training areas, and an exact recreation of the pitch at Goodison Park.

The interior features extensive changing facilities for the senior squad and Everton's Academy, allowing all of the Club's playing staff to train in the same location and a number of industry-leading amenities, as listed on Wikipedia: Gym, Synthetic indoor training pitch, Hydrotherapy pools, Spa, Sauna, Physiotherapy rooms, Media centre, Video lounges including a video editing suite.

The senior squad officially moved into the facility in October 2007.

At the time of its completion, Everton signed a 50-year tenancy agreement with ROM Capital, who valued Finch Farm at £17m, with an option to purchase the site every five years. Hudson put the facility up for sale, though, for £15.3m in October 2011.
