Tyler Dibling has said he is 'demanding more' from himself as he looks to become a regular in the Everton side.
Dibling has struggled for regular first-team football since his arrival from Southampton in 2025, and has started just four Premier League games for the Blues.
The 20-year-old has not featured in the Premier League so far this season but produced a positive performance in the League Cup win over Wolves in midweek. Dibling set up the winning goal for Charly Alcaraz in the 1-0 win, earning praise from Everton assistant Alan Irvine.
Reflecting on his performance, Dibling said he's working on playing with improved confidence and said he feels more settled at Everton after a move north last summer.
“I’m really happy [with my performance]. That’s what I did at Southampton a couple of years ago. And now I finally feel like I’m showing myself here. Today I felt good," he told evertonfc.com.
“I just had that confidence on the ball and was – how do I say this without swearing! – not giving a thing about anyone and just believing in myself.
“That's what I've been working on and it's definitely helping me in training every day. I’m just pushing myself harder – but also being easier on myself, if that makes sense. I’m just demanding more from me.
“I've got a lot of mates in the group now and I'm settled. I like coming into training and it's just easier so obviously that shows on the pitch. I had a good pre-season and tonight was good.
“I definitely feel the support from fans, too. I hear them when I'm playing, especially when they're close to me, and it’s good support.”

I hope he gets the nod again and gets even more confidence from it. Some brilliant moments from him both in attack and defence the other night.

Should definitely get on the pitch though, or what will it do to his confidence knowing he can play his best game and still not get on in the Premier League, and a break coming so will be stewing on that the whole 3 weeks.
It would be good to see him start!

Jack will come off at 60 minutes and George will switch to the left and Dibling on the right as the finishing pair.
Dibling did say if not a start then minutes off the bench, which he both deserves and is ready for.

Moyes's job is to win games -- not be a dad to young players. If he thought Tyler was the best option, he would play him.
I don't think he will start tomorrow, he might get on later depending how we are doing. He played better against Wolves but he still needs to liven up to me, he rarely tried to take the full back on around the outside.
But to be fair he looked a lot more dangerous when he was more central, I think that's more his position.

Not expecting it against Ipswich, although Moyes should think about Rohl early and Dibling late with Maitland-Niles behind if he wants to go kitano. Rohl could stay on if others in the midfield aren't having a decent match.

And the player himself hints at that when he says "I'm just demanding more from me" because he now recognizes that he wasn't demanding enough from himself previously.
Dibling didn't play last season because he didn't earn the minutes. Now he is. Moyes's tough love and his own dedication are paying off. And we have ourselves a footballer. Yay.
Dale #11, yes, he will -- if he earns the trust. Playing at #10 isn't just a matter of skills, it also means making proper decisions instantly. If Dibling learns that, he'll play there. (I've seen it a couple of times from Hackney and personally I think he's our #10 of the future. That quick thru ball to Barry was elegant.)
Steve #9, any Dibling song must include the word "dribbling" because a one-in-a-million rhyme simply cannot be wasted.

Might be worth giving Jack the last half hour from the bench and start George left and Dibling on the right see how that kicks off...
It can always be swapped around after half-an-hour if it's not working. Dibling will never get any momentum if we just keep him on the bench.
