Match Summary

Now the hype-masters are just going to go ape!  Rooney and McLeod star as Everton take potshots at the locals.  Two "senior" hattricks (that will never be recognized in the record books) formed the highlight of this merry kickabout as the Everton youngsters ran riot, and perhaps gave David Moyes something to ponder before he writes the names of his first-choice strikers on future more important teamsheets.....

Goals, Goals, Goals

If today is Tuesday then we are in Weiz, another stop on the Everton pre season tour.  Tonight's opponents are a far better standard than last night, a full five divisions above Bruck!

Then we went 1-0 down after 5 mins... oh dear, I thought.  But this was soon dispelled as the goals just flew in:

1 Rooney Pembridge the provider Rooney with his skill ran at the defence and picked his spot.

2 McLeod Stubbs with the free kick, found Rooney with a deep cross to the back post, McLeod running in could not fail to miss.

3 McLeod Rooney did all the real work forcing the keeper into the save, McLeod in the right place at the right time, again could not fail to miss.

4 McLeod His best effort of the night, Daley with a superb cross, hit on the full volley from 18yds out.

5 Rooney McLeod stole the ball from the Weiz midfielder; hit an inch perfect cross for Rooney to glance it past the keeper.

6 Rooney this time from distance a speculative effort took a deflection that sent the keeper the wrong way.

7 Osman rewarded after all his hard work a shot that went in off the post.

8 Radzinski Rooney the play maker, the resulting cross found him in space and finished well

9 Daley had a shot fly in to the back of the net after some good work on the right, made space for his effort.

10 Radzinski From 1 yard out taped the ball in.

Back to the old Pre-season days was this.
