Season › 2013-14 › News Everton provide crest process update Lyndon Lloyd , 19 September, 0comments | Jump to most recent Design phase underway With the consultation period for the new crest over, Everton have confirmed that Kenyon Fraser, the independent consultants undertaking the initiative, have moved into the design phase whereby they will translate the feedback and ideas they have received from over 20,000 Evertonians into a selection of options which will be published on Monday. Supporters with a customer number can start voting for their favoured option at noon on 23rd September, with the club's new crest to be unveiled 10 days later after the votes have been independently counted and verified by Electoral Reform Services. A statement from Kenyon Fraser on the conclusion of the consultation phase was full of admiration of the passion and engagement they received from the fans with whom they have interacted throughout the process, with Richard Kenyon, Chief Executive at Kenyon Fraser, saying it was "vital to develop a crest that supporters believe accurately represents them, their club and their heritage." Mr Kenyon explained: “There are some key findings that will inform the creative development from this consultation phase. “Evertonians clearly want any new crest to respect key elements of the club's tradition, while they understand the need for it to work well for the digital age and across range of brand applications.” One hint in the statement is that the club's cherished motto, Nil Satis Nisi Optimum, will be included in the options that are produced. “We will be taking the ‘Nil Satis Nisi Optimum' message into the design stage of the process, as we develop a number of crest options,” Richard said. “These options will be presented to the fan community and will be subject to a vote. The club are keen to remind fans that only supporters who have a customer number from the club — based on ticket purchases or membership — will be allowed to vote on the designs when they are announced at evertonfc.com/vote. The design options vote will be open from 23 September to 1 October at 11.59pm. The final option will be unveiled on 3 October. Club motto to return on new badge About these ads © ToffeeWeb
