Everton's second string saw potential victory turn to cruel defeat this evening at Motspur Park as Fulham U21s scored a stoppage time winner having equalised four minutes from the end of the regulation 90.

Jonjoe Kenny had put Everton U21s ahead earlier in the second half with a powerful header but Grimmer leveled matters after 86 minutes with a strike from close range and Tankovic won it in dramatic fashion deep into injury time.

Everton U21s: Springthorpe; McLaughlin (55' C Duffus), Touray, Kenny (78' T Duffus) Pennington, Browning; Kennedy, Ledson, Long, Williams, Jones. Subs not Used: Griffiths, Green, Charsley.
