Seamus Coleman suffered what Everton have described as a 'minor soft tissue injury' to his hamstring on Monday night.

The diagnosis eases fears that the talented Irish fullback, currently enjoying his best season in the Premier League so far, would be sidelined for weeks.

No timeframe has been given for his return but the club say that he has already begun his recovery from the injury that forced him off after 79 minutes of the 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns.

updated On Thursday, Roberto Martinez confirmed that Coleman will miss the FA Cup tie at Stevenage, but indicated that Gerard Deulofeu could be back by the end of next week.
