Cheaper tickets and enhanced matchday activity for younger fans has contributed to a swell in the number of under 16s flooding through the turnstiles at each home game. Over 16% of this year’s Season Ticket holders are juniors and the take-up of the ‘fiver for kids’ offer for the FA Cup fifth-round tie against Swansea shows that the next generation of Evertonians is keen to support Martinez’s men from the terraces. Almost 7,000 tickets were sold to under 16s for the FA Cup game – making up over 21% of the total attendance. The Club works very hard to attract kids to Goodison and it’s great to see that it’s paying off.” Undoubtedly, the incredibly popular £95 Season Ticket for kids has had a massive impact on the rise in junior fans, but there’s also plenty of activity taking place at each home game to make matchdays extra special for supporters of the future. The Players’ Parade offers youngsters the chance to meet their heroes before the game, whilst live entertainment and free Everton goodies are readily available in the Fan Zone hours before kick-off. In addition, junior fans have the chance to play on the pitch at half-time by taking part in coaching sessions with Everton in the Community, and young Season Ticket holders have the opportunity to be a part of the flag parade at kick-off, welcoming the teams onto the pitch. The incredibly popular Kids Season Ticket has been frozen at only £5 per game for the 2014/15 campaign – the third successive season that under 11s can watch every Premier League game at Goodison Park for only £95. Junior Season Ticket prices for children in Year 7-11 have also been frozen at £149 and are available across the stadium.
