Everton U21s came back from a goal down to beat Southampton 3-1 at Southport this evening.

Chris Long's equaliser cancelled out Saeger's early goal and goalkeeping heroics from Mateusz Taudul, who saved a first-half penalty, kept the scores level at half time.

Luke Garbutt made no mistake for the Blues when Long was brought down in the box early in the second half, putting the Blues ahead from 12 yards.

And Garbutt was perfect again from the spot a few minutes later when Everton won a second penalty to extend their lead.

Everton U21s: Taudul; Jones, Garbutt, Davies, Browning; Langton, Grant, Williams; Gueye, Green, Long.
Subs: Griffiths, Touray, McLaughlin, Duffus, Dyson.
