Leon Osman's 11 years of service to Everton is to be rewarded this summer with a testimonial game, the club confirmed yesterday. The opposition have yet to be determined but the match will form part of the Blues' pre-season schedule.

Osman, who has now made almost 400 appearances for Everton since breaking into the senior side in 2003, has identified Claire House Children's Hospice and the Make A Wish Foundation as the recipients of the proceeds.

"It's great news about the testimonial," the 32-year-old said. "It's not something I was thinking about at the start of my career because 10 years seemed such a long way off back then.

"But it's nice to be honoured and I'm looking forward to it."
