Deulofeu gets Spain call-up for friendly

Gerard Deulofeu has been called up to Spain's senior squad by Vicente del Bosque for the reigning World and European champions' forthcoming friendly with Bolivia on 30th May.

The 20 year-old has impressed the Spanish head coach sufficiently during his loan at Everton that he is on standby for the World Cup should any of those currently in his mind to go to Brazil don't make it.

Del Bosque is delaying naming his final 23 to give striker Diego Costa enough time to prove his fitness and could wait until the final day of 2nd June.

"We trust [Deulofeu] and if someone were to pull out tomorrow he would be top of the list," Del Bosque said.
