Ryan Ledson replaces him in Singapore
Everton have decided not to risk Muhamed Besic in the Asia Trophy games this week after he sustained a hamstring injury after playing just 20 minutes of the friendly win at Swindon on Saturday.

The Bosnian was introduced at half time of the 4-0 victory at the County Ground but had to be withdrawn after 20 minutes

"Mo has gone back to Finch Farm," Roberto Martinez explained. "He felt his right hamstring just trying to stretch for a ball but it's not a major problem.

"He's not going to be able to work for the next six or seven days. So it was pointless for him to be on a plane for so many hours when we know he's got a little bit of a niggle. We'll find out exactly what it is and hopefully he'll be available for the Scotland trip."

The Blues have two friendlies scheduled in Scotland against Dundee and Hearts later this month.

Promising Everton U21s midfielder Ryan Ledson, a player for whom Martinez has high hopes, has been drafted into the squad to replace Besic where he joins fellow Academy graduates Tyias Browning and Jonjoe Kenny.

"Ryan Ledson has come into the squad," the manager continued. "We have a few youngsters here. It will be a terrific experience for them."

Well, Ledson will be given a good chance with the first team, good for him.

Besic get well soon.

A little bit of a niggle? We all know how long a niggle is at Everton, don't we?

Don't worry lad, top player... Won't be long before you're running the show.
