Disclaimer Neil Shanahan 1 Posted 15/07/2015 at 23:23:27 I was at the game. Some ropey defending for long balls. Junior excellent in the middle but what is the point of him playing in the side and still on our books? He's a bit old to be making the breakthrough now and not even gone to Singapore with the First Team Squad. Henen was very ordinary and frightened of a tackle. Having said all that, some of the lads were very comfortable with the ball at their feet. Took too much out of it at times and needed to look up but they're only young. Walsh, who came on for Junior, looks like he has great promise and most of the attackers looked to have pace and physicality. The biggest plus is that they seemed to be coached in keeping the ball on the deck and to stick to a footballing philosophy.Overall, it was encouraging. Maybe two or three will make it at Everton. That's a realistic expectation. Ant Dwyer 2 Posted 16/07/2015 at 01:51:16 Nice bit of feedback Neil, thanks. Malc Kitchen 3 Posted 16/07/2015 at 01:50:02 Sounds good Neil. How did Byrne, Dyson and Hurst play? We got Sam Byrne from Man U, and he's one of their better young kids, so hopefully he'll make it at Everton. Show Lukaku how to finish! Colin Williams 4 Posted 16/07/2015 at 04:51:29 Cheers, Neil.... Thanks for information on game.
