The former Blues defender, one of a number of Scottish players in the Everton side under Walter Smith, talks in the Echo about his days at Goodison and the need for the club to keep together the nucleus of players "who know what Everton is all about."
Although Everton is known across the world, its a family club and I think its important to try to keep an element of that in your squad to keep that Everton mentality.

Your Ossies and Hibbos arent going to be around forever but they need to pass that on to the likes of Ross Barkley and John Stones.
