Everton's trip to Bournemouth in the FA Cup Fifth Round has been confirmed for Saturday 20th February with a 5.15pm kick-off for live television coverage on the BBC.

The Blues were handed a second successive away assignment in last Sunday's draw after they beat Carlisle 3-0 at Brunton Park.

The Cherries, meanwhile, beat south coast rivals Portsmouth 2-1 at Fratton Park in their Fourth Round tie.

Everton have been given a ticket allocation of 2,120 for the 11,000-capacity Vitality Stadium priced at £32.

So, they finally got round to sorting it out, after the supporters of 16 clubs waited five days to see what day they might need off work. Unable to make travel plans and also hedging social commitments.

I think there's a good argument that if the people in charge of these things cannot get it sorted by 5pm on the Wednesday after the draw, then the games take place on the Saturday at 3pm as originally earmarked.

And I'm curious as to when 5th Round replays will be held, as, if I've got this right, the now normal 9 or 10 days afterwards is a full PL programme, when we're due to play Villa away. Can't see the PL postponing those games,

Raises the prospect of replays being played three or four days before the 6th round, and all the possible ticketing issues. Or perhaps 6th round games being delayed.

Well said, Mike. I'm going down but couldn't make any travel arrangements as didn't know if it was Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

We owe these guys. No injury tie lapses this time.

We will be given more tickets for it as it is an FA Cup game so we can make some noise

COYB's

Tricky tie, but we do seem to play better away, was it at Bormouth that the fans invade the pitch.. No repeat of that please.

Just get the job done so our name is in the crooked hat for the next round.

You are spot on about the replays.
When are they going to play them ?
The other midweeks in March are scheduled for Europa games, and with Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea still in Europe, with the added possibility of Spurs and the RS also through, just when will any potential replays be played.
I think you are right, the PL have messed up planning a full PL mid week fixture list for what should have been reserved for FA Cup replays.
If Chelsea and Man City draw, they will have tp play replay on FA Cup 6th round day, there is no other option

There's going to be a lot of fixture congestion if we have to replay with Bournemouth and get through as we are due to play Sunderland on 6th Round day – not to mention a date for the re-arranged derby match.

Roberto Martinez, Eddie Howe, Slaven Bilic, Gus Hiddink and Jurgen Klopp all walk into a bar. Martinez, Howe, Bilic and Hiddink buy the first rounds. As Klopp went to buy his round Bobby said "sit down mate, this is the 5th round and you're not in it"

I take ZERO credit for this, just a cut n paste.

But Klopp replied
" Never mind I am joining Pellegrino at Wembley on 28th February for Round 6"

I don't think it's 'credit' you'll be getting for a gag like that, Tony.
