Good chance for the lad to step up to the plate and see what he is made of. Good level to start off. Hope he can do better than Henen has with his loan.

Good move for him, possibly argue it should have been done sooner.

I reckon he'll back out loan next season too.

He looks like he’s got something... nice and neat with a good football brain and (like Phil says) he’s gone to a decent level; I hope it works out for him.

Just what he needs, as the Championship has the physicality as well as a good level of skill, this should prepare him for a future in the first team.

Might have to get myself off to a Bees match and see how he's getting on, I hate living so far from Goodison!

There’s more chance of baseball doper Alex Rodriguez or singer Sixto Rodriguez making the Everton team than this joker. If he was halfway decent we wouldn’t have signed Bakayoko Mark II for £13 million, kept Kone or signed the Swiss kid.

Since RM also claims McAleny has an Everton future and supposedly wants to keep Romelu, it doesn’t say much for this lad. He’s in London for a month to visit the Palace and send his mom a postcard of the Queen.

We rolled the dice on South Americans last summer: one came up Trumps; the other was a dud.

What great news this is.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how this one goes.

Give the lad a chance, Kieran. His brief time with us has been hampered by injuries. He only cost £500k and looks like he was worth a punt from the type of goals he’s scored for his previous club.

If his loan is a success and extended until the end of the season, he can hopefully fill Kone’s seat on the bench next season.

Good luck. I’m hoping he does more than Kone offers but he needs games and Martinez isn’t going to give him any.

We actually have quite a few talented players that cant make the match day squad at present. The one player who really should be loaned out is Galloway... can't understand why as he needs to be playing. I guess RM must think he needs to slow his progression down. Quite a few players that break through early see their careers end or wind down early too.

On Niasse – he seems too full of smiles when he enters a game although seems to be enjoying himself. He needs to get more involved other than just skipping around. He’s made no impact at all. Too soon to judge him maybe but slightly concerning. He didn’t win player of the season in Russia for nothing. I’d also like him to come on to support Rom,not replace him, and play closer to him... and for more than a few minutes.

Mirallas, Deulofeu, Besic and Stones are all also desperate to be involved more. I’m more interested in how RM finds his strongest 11 and starts getting the best out of these players than his game management (as I think that will come). The same players who did so well against Chelsea are the same ones letting that intensity drop to allow teams to get back into games they should be dead and buried in. Its going to be a very interesting rest of the season... including the Cup of course. Some players are playing for their futures and are still maturing into... something great we hope.

We are Brentford's cheap academy. Once they go there, you just know they ain't gonna make it!

Leandro Rodriguez has technical ability but I'm afraid it all looks a bit quick and physical for the lad. He has definitely hated the cold weather but will need to get used to it because he's with us till summer 2019.

Kieran, why do you call him a joker?
