Martin Nicholls 3 Posted 02/06/2016 at 16:21:06 We could allow them to field Gibson then wait for clamour from their fans to re-sign him! Not!! Nick Entwistle 4 Posted 02/06/2016 at 16:27:08 3rd August is a Saturday. So something is amiss. And they have a charity shield to play 7 days before the start, so... so yeah. Dean Peamum 5 Posted 02/06/2016 at 16:35:42 NickNeed to check your calendar again methinks, mine makes it a Wednesday. Nick Entwistle 6 Posted 02/06/2016 at 16:43:31 So does mine now?!?!? And to think I checked twice before. Blaming Bill Gates. Helen Mallon 7 Posted 02/06/2016 at 17:52:14 Nick Entwistle 😂 Lewis Barclay 8 Posted 02/06/2016 at 17:58:47 If we sell Lukaku and make a cheeky bid for Rooney would this still happen!? Paul Black 10 Posted 02/06/2016 at 18:06:28 Lewis it would be an interesting match if they both went in opposite directions) Jeff Armstrong 11 Posted 02/06/2016 at 19:42:13 Lukaku ain't going to United. Maureen's got him sussed, good and proper. Paul Ellam 12 Posted 02/06/2016 at 20:09:39 Fair play to him, he probably could have got more "high profile" opposition to play who may have helped earn him more cash but he has obviously made it clear it was us he wanted to play so that's cool. Andy Meighan 13 Posted 03/06/2016 at 00:12:48 Martin (#3) I don't get the criticism of Gibson at all. Yes, he's had his injury problems but the lad is a very good footballer and can see a pass better than Barry, McCarthy, Cleverley and Besic put together. £500k I'd say we got a bargain. When you look at some of the prices, eg, Henderson £20 mil Allen £14 mil Di Maria £59 mil and names I can't even remember the Red Shite have bought for 8 figure sums. The mind boggles how Evertonians are quick to call our own. Kev Clark 14 Posted 03/06/2016 at 11:21:43 "All the profits will go to four designated charities chosen by Rooney."What are the odds of him knowing 4 "female workers" all named Charity! Mike Berry 15 Posted 03/06/2016 at 21:57:38 Got a feeling that a deal will be done. Rooney back home and fat useless lump back with his mate Jose. They deserve each other Mark Andersson 17 Posted 05/06/2016 at 06:37:50 Rooney has left it too late to come home. Koeman doesn't need the media hype of someone past there sell by date.Although I would welcome Rooney back in the Barry role just can't see it happening Sam Hoare 18 Posted 05/06/2016 at 07:24:34 Mourinho is a big Rooney fan, don't think he'll be returning any time soon. Patrick Murphy 19 Posted 06/06/2016 at 11:06:33 I don't think many of us would complain if this turns out to be the official list of fixtures for next season, but somehow I don't believe it will pan out like this. http://royalbluemersey.sbnation.com/2016/6/6/11864726/premier-league-2016-17-schedule-leaked-Everton-merseyside-derbyUnlikely Start Liam Reilly 20 Posted 07/06/2016 at 13:44:23 Cant see Rooney ever coming back to Goodison in a playing capacity. With the new TV and Investment money we need to be looking for younger, hungrier players who won't command ridiculous wages. Sean McCarthy 21 Posted 09/06/2016 at 01:20:03 Andy #13 spot on in what you say regarding Gibson. The only midfielder on our books with a forward pass in him. Injuries have cost him dear and now the knock on effect seems to be losing his place in the Ireland squad. Yet he's an easy target on this site while others are held up as heroes with half his ability (e.g "future captain" Mo Besic!!)Mike #15 we've been crying out for a "fat useless lump" who can score 20+ goals a season for nearly 30yrs. He's got a suspect attitude for sure but he's neither fat, useless or frankly a lump!!
