Season › 2016-17 › News Updated ToffeeWeb look Lyndon Lloyd Sunday, 8 January, 2017 28comments | Jump to most recent The site has had a small facelift but these changes sometimes come with unforeseen problems depending on what device and browser you are using. Some posters are reporting seeing text overlaying other text. If this is happening for you or if there are what look to be other layout problems, please first reload the page — you may need to refresh it three or four times for your browser to retrieve fresh copies of older, cached files. If you're on Internet Explorer or Edge for Windows, Ctrl+F5 will force your browser to download fresh assets for the page. If problems persist, please either describe the issue below or send it in an email feedback@toffeeweb.com with the following details: Your device / platform — e.g. PC laptop with Windows 10; Apple iPad; Android phone model; Macbook Pro; etc Your browser — e.g. Google Chrome; Firefox; Safari; IE 10; Microsoft Edge Reader Comments (28) Note: the following content is not moderated or vetted by the site owners at the time of submission. Disclaimer Mike Green 2 Posted 08/01/2017 at 16:57:01 Yep - mines all over the place, text over text, in the wrong place etc. Happening on iPad via Safari and laptop via Google Chrome. Mike Green 3 Posted 08/01/2017 at 16:59:15 Blimey - it's been like it all day and fixed from refreshing screen, did it four or five times at least before but obviously needed another - fixed! :) Conor Skelly 4 Posted 08/01/2017 at 17:03:43 Over lay on this page of different pages of the site with mine. I use Chrome. Paul Traill 7 Posted 08/01/2017 at 18:07:16 If on Google Chrome try incognito mode. Did it for me. All looks good Lyndon. Dave Abrahams 8 Posted 08/01/2017 at 18:16:14 Mines on Apple iPad and I'm useless with technology, I'll go blind before I can fix it. HELP!!!! Liam Reilly 9 Posted 08/01/2017 at 18:20:49 iPad Air, safari, same issue Kim Vivian 10 Posted 08/01/2017 at 18:26:04 Bit of a mess at the moment, guys! Kim Vivian 11 Posted 08/01/2017 at 18:30:32 Android Nougat 7.0 on Sony XZ is fine. Lyndon Lloyd 12 Posted 08/01/2017 at 18:32:17 Dave (8), I've emailed you as such but if you're on an iPad, hitting the reload button in your browser until the page fixes itself should definitely work.It may take a few times but it seems the caches need to be cleared. For those on Chrome, clearing them manually also would seem to be the solution. You can do that under the Settings menu >> Advanced settings >> Privacy >> Clear browsing data. Just know that that will clear your Chrome browsing history and cookies where you've asked sites to remember you so you can uncheck everything in the list apart from "cached images and files" and hit the 'clear browsing data' and that should work.Again, if you need specific help, send me an email to feedback@ToffeeWeb.com and I'll be happy to help. Kim Vivian 13 Posted 08/01/2017 at 18:32:33 Paul Trail - yes incognito on chrome works fine. Cannot get it up on the home chrome tho' Kim Vivian 14 Posted 08/01/2017 at 18:46:10 All sorted now. I don't think I did anything except log out and back on again but repeated refreshing wasn't working before. Lyndon Lloyd 15 Posted 08/01/2017 at 18:49:00 Kim, I may have given it a nudge by referencing new file names in the code, thereby eliminating most of the caching issues. Kim Vivian 16 Posted 08/01/2017 at 19:20:24 Thanks for that nudge LL Colin Glassar 17 Posted 08/01/2017 at 19:33:52 Mines sorted now, thankfully. It was doing me 'ead in. Gavin Fennessy 18 Posted 08/01/2017 at 19:56:02 Looks great now Lyndon. Checked on multiple devices. Really freshens up the site - almost like a new signing! Darryl Ritchie 25 Posted 09/01/2017 at 02:55:44 Looks good, guys. It had a few bugs earlier, but I knew you would sort'em out. Eric Myles 26 Posted 09/01/2017 at 04:23:50 Looks OK now on my 'phone and laptop but I don't like the way the mobile home page shoots down to Articles and there's no way back to the top from there. I'd rather it opened a new page the way Rumours does. Eric Myles 27 Posted 09/01/2017 at 21:20:39 On my mobile there's a message at the end of each articleNotice: Undefined variable: browserFlag in/var/www/vhosts/ToffeeWeb.com/httpdocs/includes/adstream_mpu.phpon line 1Before the ad that is before the comments Eric Myles 28 Posted 10/01/2017 at 05:19:44 Not looking good on my Samsung tablet. The articles only appear across half of the home page, the other half is blank. The header is across the entire page and everything just arranged in a column below it.Articles does however open in a new page on the tablet but still doesn't on my Samsung S4 mini Bob Parrington 29 Posted 10/01/2017 at 07:28:32 Now lookin' real good on my Mac.
