Season › 2019-20 › News One-year contract for Kieran Phillips Friday, 5 July, 2019 1comment | Jump to most recent Another Everton Academy scholar, striker Kieran Phillips, has signed his first professional contract with Everton, agreeing a one-year deal until the end of June 2020. Phillips, who joined Everton at Under-13 level, scored 12 goals in 11 appearances in the U18 Premier League (North) last season. The 19-year-old has set his sights on breaking into David Unsworth's double-winning Under-23s side in the coming campaign. “I'm so happy to sign a first pro contract for a big club with such a great history,” Phillips told evertonfc.com. “It's a great place to be as a young player. We've got a very good bunch of lads. Training is intense and we are all striving to make each other better. “The coaches are brilliant, too. They push you to be your best. “This season, I want to keep developing and try to play as many games as I can for the Under-23s.” Reader Comments (1) Note: the following content is not moderated or vetted by the site owners at the time of submission. Disclaimer Dave Abrahams 1 Posted 05/07/2019 at 14:52:36 Kieran was very unlucky with injuries last season and possibly the season before, hopefully with a bit of luck and injury free he could turn that one year contract into a much longer one, good luck lad.
