Phill Thompson 2 Posted 09/11/2019 at 18:33:20 Sam, it was Tom Cannon who got the brace, as you say he's having a fine season, he's our leading goalscorer at this level. I'm really impressed with the work of Paul Tait and the other coaches, they lost their prolific goalscoring trio from last season ( Simms, Phillips, Adeydoyin) and have brought through a very young set of 16 year old 1st years, aided by only a few experienced 2nd years like Carroll, Hughes, Quirk and Hosie today. At this level playing against teams with more older 2nd year Scholars can make a difference in terms of their physique and experience, so these young kids are doing very well. It's the youngest u18s team we've had for some years, and they are holding their own near the top of the league. Steve Ferns 3 Posted 16/11/2019 at 13:51:52 The team was:1. J. Barrett 2 J. Hosie 5 D. Thompson 3 D. Lowe4 H. Hagan 8 B. Carroll6 R. Hughes 10 L. Warrington 7 S. Quirk 11 L. Dobbin9 T. CannonOnyango appears to be with the u23s now. Dobbin is playing for the u18s but gets on the u23 bench. Both are only 16 and both look special. Cannon has scored a load of goals too: 10 goals in 7 games!Phil, were you there today?
