Brent Stephens 2 Posted 22/11/2019 at 18:55:03 U23s v Spurs tonight and nowhere on team sheet are Anthony Gordon, Feeney or Gibson. Or Beni. Brent Stephens 3 Posted 22/11/2019 at 19:03:04 Sims skies a sitter over the bar Brent Stephens 4 Posted 22/11/2019 at 19:04:46 One down. Deney skinned at RB. Brent Stephens 5 Posted 22/11/2019 at 19:09:11 Pochettino on subs bench for spurs! Brent Stephens 6 Posted 22/11/2019 at 19:21:26 Kyle John off after nasty blow to head. Brent Stephens 7 Posted 22/11/2019 at 19:42:48 Two down. Defence ripped apart. Missing Feeney and Gibson. Brent Stephens 8 Posted 22/11/2019 at 19:50:38 Two down half time. Charsley looking miserable and playing so. Dave Abrahams 9 Posted 22/11/2019 at 19:52:22 Brent ( 17), I think Gordon and Gibson have been on international duty, not sure about Feeney, possibly Banginime on thebench tomorrow if he's not injured. Brent Stephens 10 Posted 22/11/2019 at 19:53:39 Probably right Dave. Steve Ferns 11 Posted 22/11/2019 at 19:57:08 Gordon played on Tuesday night. He could have played. Probably kept ready for the first team. Dunno about Gibson. What about Denis Adeniran? Dave Abrahams 12 Posted 22/11/2019 at 19:58:19 Brent (25),I'm presuming you are at the game, what sort of attendance do you get at Southport for these games, two or three hundred? Brent Stephens 13 Posted 22/11/2019 at 20:00:40 Normally about that number Dave but far fewer tonight. Adeniran is playing Steve. Pretty sound as ever. Dave Abrahams 14 Posted 22/11/2019 at 20:06:12 Brent (28), it's a bad night weatherwise if it's like Liverpool, raining here. Well done for venturing out, hope we buck up second half, make your journey worthwhile. Steve Ferns 16 Posted 22/11/2019 at 20:06:45 Nice one Brent.Anthony Gordon played Weds, Saturday and Tuesday. That's 3 full games in 6 days (all for England u19 and scored 2). I suspect he's rested in case he's needed.I can't be sure about Gibson. Feeney did not play for England u20. Maybe they are both on standby incase of injury to big Yerry Mina? Brent Stephens 17 Posted 22/11/2019 at 20:13:59 Three down after keeper save goes to feet of Spurs player. Brent Stephens 18 Posted 22/11/2019 at 20:21:21 Some really tasty tackles going in now! Brent Stephens 19 Posted 22/11/2019 at 20:44:34 And a cracking consolation goal by Adeniran from outside box. And almost second from Markelo. Steve Ferns 20 Posted 23/11/2019 at 09:20:42 Thanks for the updates Brent. No doubt you'll be interested to know that Everton's social media showed Richarlison kicking a can about in training, the interest being that Gibson was stood laughing at him and so is clearly with the first team for this one. Probably won't play but might be on the bench. Also Bernard was chatting to silva as the rest all stood around, so he might be fit? Mike Allison 21 Posted 23/11/2019 at 09:29:13 Brent (or anyone else) are you able to give a brief summary of the formation and how the individuals played in their positions? Brent Stephens 22 Posted 23/11/2019 at 13:16:46 Mike,Tyrer in goal.Back four: Denny, Astley, Foulds, John (until John off injured - then Foulds to LB and Ouzounidis came on at CB).Mids: Adeniran, Onyango, Markelo.Forward: Charsley, Simms, Evans. But Evans and Charsley often withdrawing to midfield. Phill Thompson 23 Posted 23/11/2019 at 19:34:11 Thanks for the info Brent, particularly the formation. Steve Ferns 24 Posted 26/11/2019 at 20:10:52 Niasse went close there. He was taking them all on, on his own!
