Bob Parrington 2 Posted 22/04/2020 at 05:16:31 Goalie looks a bit like young Pickford on a not-so-good day!!!! Mike Gaynes 3 Posted 22/04/2020 at 06:07:12 Damn, that's fun stuff. I'll be smiling all night. Kunal Desai 4 Posted 22/04/2020 at 19:44:34 I see Reece James of Chelsea has told André Gomes he wants to join Everton next season. He wants to learn more of André's game. Michael Lynch 5 Posted 22/04/2020 at 19:59:14 Can't believe Gomes has been scalped. His hair was a thing of beauty. Sell him. Derek Knox 6 Posted 23/04/2020 at 02:42:12 Jack @ 1, Nah, too many potential yellow cards there for taking his shirt off, celebrating! 😂😋 Derek Knox 7 Posted 23/04/2020 at 03:42:04 Kunal @4, is that a wind up or is there any credence to this speculation? I really like that kid and had hoped we may have got him, when he finished his loan spell at Wigan. Before the season was halted and football was being shown, I did watch most of the matches I could. I have noticed when watching Chelsea that Reece was getting regular playing time at right-back, so find it strange that he would want to come to us.Plus, should that be the case, I can't see him coming cheaply either, or for that matter Chelsea agreeing to let him go. Not sure what his contract situation is, or how long he has remaining on it, but he would certainly solve our right-back dilemma. Kunal Desai 8 Posted 23/04/2020 at 19:17:06 Derek - there was some sarcasm in my post as Gomes had smashed James 8-0 in the FIFA eLeague competition. That said, I'm in agreement with you here, great prospect and particularly getting forward he looks great. I would certainly welcome if we could pull off a loan deal similar to Zouma but I just don't see Lampard and Chelsea letting him go. He'll cement that right-back spot for quite some time and probably replacing the current club captain. Derek Knox 9 Posted 24/04/2020 at 02:10:02 Kunal, I didn't know about the Fifa game when I posted. Anyway, we can live in hope. Having watched the Gomes v Reece James e-game, you never know, but realistically he looks like he will be at Chelsea for a while, having joined when he was 6 years old. Personally, I think it's about time he changed Clubs. :-) Add Your Comments In order to post a comment, you need to be logged in as a registered user of the site. » Log in now Or Sign up as a ToffeeWeb Member — it's free, takes just a few minutes and will allow you to post your comments on articles and Talking Points submissions across the site.
