Well he has scored four with his head, not a remarkable number, and while they were good efforts some of his other attempts were very poor, don't think he stands out in this way to be honest.

I like the fact we have two centre-forwards who can stretch play and dominate in the air.

Feels like the right dynamic for Everton but might be my generation.

You may be right about some of his efforts, Dave, but some headers he scores are brilliant. The one against Wolves stands out.

It's the silly season. Hardly enough of a sample to be statistically relevant.

But to Dave #2, I would say that I do remember Andy Gray occasionally fluffing headers and he was as good as any in the air.

He's scored a few with his head for Brazil as well. He is a very good header – he needs to fine tune his skills a bit, and then he can be as deadly as Tim Cahill with his head.

Ajay #7, Yerry Mina has scored more international goals with his head than Richarlison has scored for Brazil in total but, according to TW fans, Mina can't head the ball??

Eric, remember when Pat Nevin analysed the Pienaar - Baines movement down our left? It was all over the media, and I swear they were never as potent a combo afterwards!

I had observed an improvement this season in Richarlison's heading, I often fancy him to get his noggin on the end of a cross. He's a proper player, no doubt about it.

I still think Mina will come good (consistently). I know he has looked like he has a 50p head at times but it wouldn't surprise me if he gets on the scoresheet a lot more regularly next season. Wouldn't it be great for a defender to have a bit of a Derek Mountfield season!

Mike Gaynes has always insisted Mina will come good. I respect Mike's opinion but it seems the big lad gets an injury just when he is starting to look the part. If only he could get a few more of his (trademark ) headers, it would take the pressure off his defending. Mountfield was very underrated and his understanding with the Rat was superb. I still think Yerry will prove to be a good aquisition.
Mina has had a tough time though. With Seamus on the wane, Keane in a trough of form, Sidebe a football bi-polar and Digne a shadow of last season.
Add to this our goalkeeping maverick and there are plenty of reasons for his odd mishap.

What a player. One of the few buys that we've got right in recent years yet the one that seemed so wrong at the time. Imagine him in the Liverpool or City side.

Richarlison is an impressive player, and if we're honest we have a few. If we're also honest that there are also a few that need to be more squad players, than starters. The way things are at the moment who knows how it'll look next season. I think a January start would be a good idea, with a vaccine making football a thing of some doubtful joy again.

Great header of a ball, running onto it, judges the timing pretty well, not as good standing there to fight for it from a long kick etc. however is a nuisance.

His headers at Leicester & Mordor were top drawer, his movement gives him time to execute.

Gavin, do you mean "few" or " a few".

Richalason is probably the only Everton player who would have a hope of getting into a' Premier Best Team'. I would have suggested Pickford to keep him company but so many of our number won't give him house room. !

Going into 'the break', Everton were just 'bloody ordinary' and so bad has the club been in the transfer market since coming into money that everything depends on Ancelotti 'getting it right'. I don't see it happening, myself, but perhaps he can borrow some of that 'Dilly Dong' music from his compatriot and work us a miracle.

John P #15, your "marionette" description sounds a lot like Peter Crouch. Who scored 200 in the Prem and 22 for England. Not bad for a gangly, clownish-looking player.

And if physical grace were relevant, the world would never have heard of him. Or Mertesacker. Or Busquets. Or our own beloved Rhino, who certainly earned his nickname.

Mina is an ugly, awkward player. Ungainly in the air and runs like a hyena, on his haunches.

And he will continue to be the ugly, awkward rock of our central defense for years to come in my opinion.

Mike #18 - Roy Vernon always looked ungainly when running. But a pretty good player!
