Simon Dalzell 2 Posted 04/02/2022 at 21:29:43 Lee Dixon spoiling the game again. I can't bare him. Come on, Boro. He's not even up to date with the rules. Dale Self 3 Posted 04/02/2022 at 21:32:25 1-1. Wilder won the last time he was there with Blades. Simon Dalzell 4 Posted 04/02/2022 at 22:13:55 Ronaldo now a liability. Your go Dale. It's just me and thee. Dale Self 5 Posted 04/02/2022 at 22:19:30 It is squeaky bum time, Simon. Boro, Boro, Boro!!! Dale Self 6 Posted 04/02/2022 at 22:35:35 A little more rain on the spot please. Dale Self 7 Posted 04/02/2022 at 22:54:03 Some big balls penalties being converted here. Someone has been practicing. Dale Self 8 Posted 04/02/2022 at 22:55:02 Except for that one. Fuck off United, Up the Boro!!!! Neil Copeland 9 Posted 04/02/2022 at 22:56:38 Yessss, get in! Or actually in this case get over! Allen Rodgers 10 Posted 04/02/2022 at 22:57:53 Haha, up the Smoggies ! Dale Self 11 Posted 04/02/2022 at 22:59:30 Neil??? I thought this was Simon's private party I was crashing. Watching a Man Utd failure is always better with numbers. Tomorrow just got more interesting. Neil Copeland 12 Posted 04/02/2022 at 23:03:48 Dale, ha ha! Well it just shows that you never know who is watching…,so looking forward to tomorrow and as you indicate always adds a bit of spice when a big name is eliminated early. Mike Gaynes 13 Posted 04/02/2022 at 23:10:52 There are few more enjoyable sights than that of head-in-hands Man Utd fans trailing out of Old Trafford with expressions like basset hounds. Woohoo Boro!!!!!!!! Dale Self 14 Posted 04/02/2022 at 23:16:13 The wilting prawn sandwich brigade. Good times. Gerry Killen 15 Posted 05/02/2022 at 05:33:42 Hi, it's a long time since I went to a Cup Tie at Goodison Park. I was wondering if the Toffee Lady still appears at Cup Ties? It's a wonderful tradition and adds to the great atmosphere in the ground. I still remember when we were lads scrambling to grab a Mint or two. Anyway, hope it's a good game and hope Frank gets a win first up, Tuesday can wait, COYB Don Wright 16 Posted 05/02/2022 at 06:48:06 Gerry, I could be wrong but I think covid fears put a stop to the Toffee Lady. hopefully she will be back at some stage. I do hope it's that and not cost cutting as we are built on tradition and the like. Don Wright 18 Posted 05/02/2022 at 11:08:23 Good luck to Steven Schumacher today. The Plymouth Argyle manager used to manage our U11s, I watched Guzz quite a bit in my navy days. Tough ask at Chelsea but it is FA Cup weekend after all. David Pearl 19 Posted 05/02/2022 at 11:23:14 Spare ticket for today is available 07368456214 if anyone wants it. Michael Kenrick 20 Posted 05/02/2022 at 12:52:07 Uh-Oh... Moyes Boyz behind at Kidderminster after 20 mins. Colin Glassar 21 Posted 05/02/2022 at 13:02:14 Kidderminster 1 David (almost greatest manager ever, defensive magician, tactical mastermind etc….) Moyes 0.Ooops, wrong thread. Fran Mitchell 22 Posted 05/02/2022 at 13:05:56 Proper cup tie this. Come on Kidderminster!Plymouth also leading at Chelsea. Dale Self 23 Posted 05/02/2022 at 13:29:26 Knell! We're in this! Joe McMahon 24 Posted 05/02/2022 at 13:50:32 Yes hopefully this is payback for us losing to Shrewsbury the year they were relegated to the conference. Not to Mention Everton 0 Wigan 3. Colin Glassar 25 Posted 05/02/2022 at 13:56:30 20 minutes to FA Cup glory, Kidderminster.Ref, Jon Moss in his element here. One non-league team, two non-league level managers. Alan McGuffog 26 Posted 05/02/2022 at 14:13:02 Did Yarmolenko not get booked for that dive? Fran Mitchell 27 Posted 05/02/2022 at 14:27:20 So unlucky Kidderminster. Gonna be a tough 30 minutes for them. Come on, Kidderminster. Joe McMahon 28 Posted 05/02/2022 at 14:28:51 So close for Kidderminster, Moyes's skin saved. Ajay Gopal 29 Posted 05/02/2022 at 14:42:49 Thierry Small is playing for Southampton. The one that got away? Kristian Boyce 30 Posted 05/02/2022 at 17:58:55 Just saw the extended highlights of the Saints vs Coventry game, Thierry Small making his debut. Probably a debut to forget too. He nearly headed in a ridiculous own goal and was at fault for Saint's opener. He was hauled off at half-time, being replaced by Walker-Peters who got their winner. Looked like he was very much out of his depth. Steve Shave 31 Posted 05/02/2022 at 18:19:14 I see someone mentioned Small above, funny as I thought of him today and wondered if he jumped way too soon. He would have got game time this season for us. Rob Halligan 32 Posted 06/02/2022 at 12:22:04 Blatant Cardiff penalty turned down. Utter joke. Jeff Armstrong 33 Posted 06/02/2022 at 12:23:28 Penalty no doubt but the referee is a coward as is the VAR ref Tom Bowers 34 Posted 06/02/2022 at 12:31:41 I think VAR is a joke. Why have it when they just throw it right back at the referee in many cases ? So many penalty cases and many times the referee get's it wrong. Older fans will recall the famous ''no call'' by the Butcher from Wolverhampton Jack Taylor in the '66 cup final when Alex Young was downed by Springett.Wasn't Pickford on Toney yesterday exactly the same with the referee right in having no hesitation. Jeff Armstrong 35 Posted 06/02/2022 at 13:04:50 Red card that, reckless Anthony Murphy 37 Posted 06/02/2022 at 13:06:52 Haha fuck me! Well there you have it - the bias isn't subtle anymore is it Rob Halligan 38 Posted 06/02/2022 at 13:07:42 Don't be silly Jeff, it would have been against the RS!!Seriously though, he should have been off. Just waiting for something minor to happen and a RS penalty given and Cardiff player sent off. Tom Bowers 39 Posted 06/02/2022 at 13:09:45 Absolute disgrace and a decision (or bad decision) that RS have always gotten the benefit of especially at Analfield. Jeff Armstrong 40 Posted 06/02/2022 at 13:10:58 Ah well, switch off time. Ricky Oak 41 Posted 06/02/2022 at 13:16:13 And that ladies and gentlemen, is exactly what we as a club are up against, RS v BB. Can you imagine if our Jordan made that exact same foul? It's disgusting the corruption in the game. When will someone in power highlight the blatant bias, look at how it affects the players on the opposition. Danny O’Neill 42 Posted 06/02/2022 at 13:27:40 Red card all day. Any other club, it's red. Dangerous & reckless high tackle. Not in control. Rob Halligan 43 Posted 06/02/2022 at 13:37:28 Exactly Danny. It was certainly a high challenge and worthy of a red. The other thing is, you then have to take an outfield player off to bring the sub goalie on. That outfield player could well have had an influence later on, and played some part in any goal, so in effect its a double let off for the RS. Rob Halligan 44 Posted 06/02/2022 at 13:41:03 Mike Dean looks very worried, and concerned for Diaz. Paul Birmingham 45 Posted 06/02/2022 at 14:04:17 The VAR is a joke, clearly they don't use it at our old ground, only when it suits the RS.Absolute disgrace today and again the poxy penalty they got at Palace a couple of weeks ago. Danny O’Neill 46 Posted 06/02/2022 at 14:21:02 I keep saying it and I'll keep saying it.VAR isn't the problem. It's the solution to poor officials as it makes it clear and there for all to see.The problem is the officials. Whether on the pitch or at Stockley Park, they're still making the wrong decisions even though it's there to see. And they're not held accountable in explaining.Improve the standard of official & accountability. VAR just show what happened. Rob Halligan 47 Posted 06/02/2022 at 15:14:46 Danny, you're right, it's not the actual technology that's the problem, it's the people looking at these decisions. The technology is the video screens, the cameras relaying all these images back to Stockley Park, and it's all there in black and white for everyone to see. The technology can't speak and therefore can't lie, yet these shithouse officials are too shit scared to give a decision against the RS. I was told yesterday that Kevin Friend who gave the penalty (Haha, penalty my arse) for the RS against Palace the other week, was demoted to the Championship this weekend. Big deal, that doesn't benefit Palace in anyway, and no doubt he'll be back doing Premier League games in midweek. Every single official in the Premier League are totally biased towards the RS and it's doing my head in. Paul Birmingham 49 Posted 06/02/2022 at 15:51:31 The Premier League hierarchy must be on a backhander from the RS board, and it's bringing the game into disrepute. Every team that plays them rarely gets the rub of the green with the administration of VAR.Incredible how their keeper stayed on today, and that impacted on the result. Peter Neilson 50 Posted 06/02/2022 at 16:22:27 I was unfortunate enough to be in a car today listening to the 5Live commentary. The slavish praise for everything red actually became pretty funny, it was so OTT. Everything Van Dijk did was “imperiousâ€, the excellence of their kit was described at length, the most knowledgeable supporters bowed to, while at the end St Klopp congratulating the Cardiff goal scorer “because that's the kind of guy he isâ€. Pretty much the only mention of Cardiff. Unfortunately our own Pat Nevin was as guilty. Fran Mitchell 51 Posted 06/02/2022 at 16:25:54 That Brendan Johnson who we were linked with looks an absolute fantastic prospect. If Richarlison was to be sold in the summer, this lad would be an excellent option. Rob Halligan 52 Posted 06/02/2022 at 16:26:14 Forest two goals in a minute. Rob Halligan 53 Posted 06/02/2022 at 16:32:00 Make that 3-0. Joe McMahon 54 Posted 06/02/2022 at 16:36:11 Well Leicester probably out. But as long as the FA officials faves are in the cup is gonna be a big ask. If we do progress I'd love WHU in later rounds as Moyes will bottle it. Will Mabon 55 Posted 06/02/2022 at 16:36:13 This is great - Leicester really getting some. Mike Gaynes 56 Posted 06/02/2022 at 16:37:55 Loving this. What a performance by Forest -- simply ferocious.Johnson and Davis both look great. Two guys to keep in mind for sure. But now a complete brain fart from the Forest keeper, and it's still a game. Will Mabon 57 Posted 06/02/2022 at 16:38:44 "...while at the end St Klopp congratulating the Cardiff goal scorer 'because that's the kind of guy he is'."It's projectile vomit stuff, deep cringe. Rob Halligan 58 Posted 06/02/2022 at 16:41:55 Terrible by the Forest goalie. He had no need to come legging out for that. Defender had it well covered. Leicester back in it. Will Mabon 59 Posted 06/02/2022 at 16:41:56 Some goal there... almost looked like a Prem' club. Will Mabon 60 Posted 06/02/2022 at 16:43:04 Rob - over-confidence from being 3 up. Rob Halligan 61 Posted 06/02/2022 at 16:49:15 Leicester aren't out of this if recent history is anything to go by. They were 4-0 down at half time at Man City before pulling it back to 4-3. Mike Gaynes 62 Posted 06/02/2022 at 16:49:42 Some of our folks were promoting Steve Cooper as our possible manager. Sorry, but on looks alone he should have been disqualified from the start. That is one odd-looking dude. Mike Gaynes 63 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:07:24 Rob, finally saw the highlights of RS/Cardiff, and you're right, the ref (was it Madley?) was an absolute disgrace. Now, is it just me or does Brennan Johnson look like Dele Alli's little brother? Striking resemblance. Paul Tran 64 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:15:54 As my Mum used to say Mike, a) A face only a mother could love, or b) a face like a bulldog licking piss off nettles. Neil Copeland 65 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:21:53 Wow, and another Mike Gaynes 66 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:23:13 Brilliant 4th from Spence. What a talent. Ray Roche 67 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:25:06 Paul, as opposed to a face only a punch could love.Yes, Mike, a super goal. Mike Gaynes 68 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:25:13 Paul, my dad used to say "He looks like a dog that chases parked cars."But the worst I ever heard was about a baseball player who was described as looking like "...his face caught fire and somebody put it out with a track shoe." Rob Halligan 69 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:25:25 Paul, I've also heard “A face like a bulldog chewing a waspâ€. Talking of bulldogs, a saw a cross breed of a bulldog and a shih tzu. It's called a “Bull Shitâ€! Will Mabon 70 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:26:46 Doesn't matter the era, the level, the players, to a point – running fast at defences gets results. Neil Copeland 71 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:27:59 Looks like there is going to be at least one Championship club in the quarter finals. Although not sure if anyone would fancy playing Forest at the City Ground based on their performance against Arsenal and even more so today. Barry Hesketh 72 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:31:23 Rob @69I assume that Bingo has at least one of those dogs in his possession and the Beeb's sports department should have one as their mascot given their constant fawning about all things red. Mike Gaynes 73 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:32:05 Will #70, yeah, unless you're Oumar Niasse. Or Yannick Bolasie. Tony Abrahams 74 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:32:20 I'd take Forest in the quarters, Liverpool in the semis, and West Ham in the final right now, Neil! Neil Copeland 75 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:34:09 Tony, when you put it like that, me too mate! Will Mabon 76 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:36:05 Mike - Niasse = God. Paul Birmingham 77 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:37:37 Turning the clock back to the glory days of Clough and Taylor.Incredible achievement by Forest to turn their season around...Well done, Forest, well deserved; great performance. Tony Hill 78 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:39:16 Neil @71, Cooper is doing a fantastic job there. I always enjoyed going to Forest, proper club and fans. Paul Birmingham 79 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:39:47 The game that will decide our next opponents in the FA Cup is showing on ITV4, starting at 5:45 pm. Mike Gaynes 80 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:41:17 Will #76, if Cardiff had only had him today... Neil Copeland 81 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:44:48 Tony @78, agreed. Always a good atmosphere there and Steve Cooper deserves all the praise he gets. Forest were in real danger of going down and a real basket case before he took over.Funny to hear their support telling Leicester they will never be European Champions. Mike Gaynes 82 Posted 06/02/2022 at 17:54:32 Well done Forest. Rob Halligan 83 Posted 06/02/2022 at 18:01:12 Barry # 72. Bingo has got one of those faces that you would just love to smash in with a frying pan. Or one of those anvils you see in a Tom and Jerry cartoon. Rob Halligan 84 Posted 06/02/2022 at 18:08:22 Anyone see the Leicester fan race onto the pitch after one of the Forest goals and start punching one or two players. He also got a dig back from a Forest player. Doubt he'll be seeing another game for a while! Mike Gaynes 85 Posted 06/02/2022 at 18:09:53 Missed that, Rob. After which goal? Alan McGuffog 86 Posted 06/02/2022 at 18:12:13 I was brought up in Norris Green... as ma' called it, a Corporation House.I've supped since I was fourteen. Mainly cos I like it. The only pressure I ever felt was in "doubling" or indeed "trebling" at the bar of The Crown when "Last Orders" was called at 21:45. Graham Mockford 87 Posted 06/02/2022 at 18:18:45 Brennan Johnson….. talent Rob Halligan 88 Posted 06/02/2022 at 18:22:25 Not sure Mike. Was deffo one in the first half. It was only shown at the end of the programme on ITV so I wasn't paying particular attention to it. It looked like the fan came from the corner and tried to grab the corner flag to use as a weapon. Would have been in big shit if he had done that. As it is he will still be in the deep brown stuff!! John Cook 90 Posted 06/02/2022 at 18:32:57 Alan McGuffog,I was brought up in Kirkby and frequented the Peacock. Now that was pressure! Brent Stephens 91 Posted 06/02/2022 at 19:08:45 Boreham ahead! Brent Stephens 92 Posted 06/02/2022 at 19:10:33 Well-taken goal, Rob. No panic. Graham Mockford 93 Posted 06/02/2022 at 19:11:21 Tbh Brent both these sides are shite.Gift of a draw. Brent Stephens 94 Posted 06/02/2022 at 19:13:18 Graham, you have a way with words. But I agree with your basic analysis! Mike Gaynes 95 Posted 06/02/2022 at 19:44:03 Not hard to imagine what's going on in the guts of the Bournemouth fans right now. Trailing at home to a fifth-tier side.Boreham Wood's last result was a 3-1 win over Kings Lynn Town. Now they're silencing a Championship stadium. Will Mabon 96 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:05:28 Awful miss. Mike Gaynes 97 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:08:38 The posts and crossbar are doing their part to preserve Boreham's lead. So are the Bournemouth attackers. Geoff Lambert 98 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:10:17 Hope they hold on, what a treat for them to come to the Old Lady with a full house. Geoff Lambert 99 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:12:54 It's like the bloody Alamo. Will Mabon 100 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:13:16 Boreham Wood out on their feet. Mike Gaynes 101 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:15:39 Minute 87. Are they really gonna pull this off? Mike Gaynes 102 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:19:23 Solanke still can't finish!!! Joe Corgan 103 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:21:20 This is thrilling. It's like there's 20 players on each team, going at full pelt. And Solanke misses by a whisker… Will Mabon 105 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:23:04 Solanke sold by RS for massive overprice... Brent Stephens 106 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:24:47 Wonderful. Mike Gaynes 107 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:24:53 THEY DID IT!Absolute courage. Welcome to Goodison, Boreham Wood. Andrew Grey 108 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:25:38 Brilliant! Brent Stephens 109 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:25:40 I hope Boreham Wood go all the way.Oops, oh no I don't. Will Mabon 110 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:25:50 Fantastic! Andrew Grey 111 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:27:01 Just googled nile ranger if his criminal record is anything to go by he will probably be arrested again before the game at GP! Neil Tyrrell 112 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:27:02 Great scenes with Marsh jumping into the away fans, amazing stuff. I love the FA Cup! Colin Metcalfe 113 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:28:39 So pleased for Boreham Wood, fantastic effort – and now they've got the prize of taking on the Blues at Goodison Park! Brent Stephens 114 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:29:00 Love that Hibbert No 2 shirt! Andrew Grey 115 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:30:12 Ha ha – one of the Boreham Wood players had a No 2 Tony Hibbert shirt on underneath his shirt! Big Everton fan apparently. Mike Gaynes 116 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:30:24 Hey, a Hibbert callout!!! Mike Gaynes 117 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:32:00 He could have a worse idol. Well done young man. Neil Copeland 118 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:32:46 Great stuff, that's what it's all about. John Atkins 119 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:33:36 Nice home tie in the Quaterfinals against Nottm Forest or Huddersfield and Wembley here we come! Mike Gaynes 120 Posted 06/02/2022 at 20:39:18 Imagine being an old pro age 37, almost 600 non-league games, only 5 goals in your whole life, and you score an FA Cup winner against a Championship side.He can sit back and smile about that for the rest of his life. And never again buy a drink in Borehamwood.
