Tony Everan 2 Posted 16/03/2022 at 20:56:46 Arsenal working very hard fired up for it, if they keep it up will get at least a point. Klopp's doing his Conrad Pooh's dancing teeth impression to the fourth official. Dale Self 3 Posted 16/03/2022 at 21:03:40 Martinelli has been burning TAA. Looks good so far. Cmon Gunners! Will Mabon 4 Posted 16/03/2022 at 21:24:48 Refereeing decisions are so much more balanced when the game played between two of the "Big 6". Funny how that happens. Anthony A Hughes 5 Posted 16/03/2022 at 21:33:07 Diaz and Jota off and Salah and Firminio on. Ridiculous squad depth compared to our lot of the Man Bun Queen and Rondon. Bill Gall 6 Posted 16/03/2022 at 21:39:30 Anthony, Klopp has had over 5 seasons to develop a good squad that was a better squad than Evertons when he started. Jim Bennings 7 Posted 16/03/2022 at 21:41:28 Anthony,You mean Fem Dom-inic Calvert-Lewin?That lot look like they'll win the league this season sadly, fuckers just don't know how to not win games anymore and since Klopp has been there the fitness levels are just insane.Man City may rue not getting Kane last summer, I think. Anthony A Hughes 8 Posted 16/03/2022 at 22:02:32 Yes Jim the fitness levels are amazing even when they come back from injury, whilst ours appear to be perennially injured or take ages to get "match fitness". Attitude and desire, something we sadly lack. Tony Everan 9 Posted 16/03/2022 at 22:02:39 Mane always gets away with a lot of sly fouling, also he wasn't booked for his blatant first half dive, shame on the referee. Jim Bennings 10 Posted 16/03/2022 at 22:10:41 Anthony 8Sometimes it makes me wonder why our players these days seem to be permanently injured or picking up one injury after another compared to when the game was more physical. There were seasons in the '90s when the same team played every week, no injuries or excuses. Now, it's 12 weeks out, then another 4 weeks getting fit, then a setback, and another 6 weeks out. Allen Rodgers 11 Posted 16/03/2022 at 22:38:54 Yes, Jim, it's almost as if they don't want to play. Don Alexander 12 Posted 16/03/2022 at 22:46:03 I deplore the fact that so much mention is made on this site of them. Do we not understand that, despite the fact they have three times the number of points, we do we currently have (good times indeed!) two games in hand on them?Meh! Barry Hesketh 13 Posted 16/03/2022 at 23:08:51 Don @ 12,It's bad enough suffering from what Everton do to us, without concerning ourselves with the exploits of the naybores. I'd take relegation if it meant the obsessive need for some to watch the other lot and then report it, would end. Sadly I don't even think that will happen as it will likely increase the number of posts about how they are doing in the Premier League and beyond. Come on, Everton – find 12 to 15 points from somewhere pleeeeaaase! Tony Abrahams 14 Posted 17/03/2022 at 07:36:05 Anthony H@8, we regularly talk about “football†on this website, and if you go on to today's match day thread, I'm certain we will read about 20 different team selections, and another 5 or 6 different formations being put forward, as to what suits our players the best.I'm the same myself, because I believe we have to play with three central midfielders to stop us getting overrun in the middle of the park, bearing in mind that our central defenders always go into their default position (15 to 25 yards backwards) the minute we get put under a bit of pressure, even when we play with a back five.I don't know the reason I've gone around the world to write this post, because you wrote two words that are more important than anything else right now Anthony, and it's the only reason that Everton players are getting booed off the pitch by their desperately frustrated fans.Attitude and desire. This is so important and I believe it's the only way Everton's players can turn things around for themselves and more importantly “ourselves†right now. Tony Abrahams 15 Posted 17/03/2022 at 23:33:49 Attitude and desire = the crowd turning the game in Everton's favour, which is what the Newcastle manager said after tonight's game. Let's see the press reports on this, because we've seen enough of them reporting on Everton's so called toxic fanbase. We are not toxic, we are just desperate. We love our club, and we love to see the players playing with pride, which = “we are not fucking stupid†Dale Self 16 Posted 18/03/2022 at 19:28:33 Raphinha is out with COVID and that should be a while. Suck it Leeds. Dale Self 17 Posted 18/03/2022 at 20:29:14 Jonny! Wolves 1-0 Leeds Bill Gall 18 Posted 18/03/2022 at 20:37:37 Dale It looks like Leeds have lost Bamford again for a while, looked like he pulled a muscle and asked to come off right away, trying to console him on the bench. Maybe it's the right thing to bring Calvert-Lewin on slowly. Dale Self 19 Posted 18/03/2022 at 20:51:37 Yes Bill, I think I may have questioned that on one of my not so good days but obviously easing him back in is the way. Bamford was in tears, I feel for the guy.Klich just left the field with a concussion. Would rather they just suck but given our situation I'll take it. Neil Copeland 20 Posted 18/03/2022 at 20:57:58 Wolves tearing Leeds a new one 2-0 Dale Self 21 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:00:53 I'm feeling some breathing room above and below. Let's hope Newcastle hits the skids as well. Bill Gall 22 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:15:49 Neil, I feel a little sorry for Leeds, they have had to use 3 subs 1 for concussion in the first half that lasted 55 minutes. Michael Lynch 23 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:20:31 That's not a second yellow. Ridiculous. Bill Gall 24 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:21:52 Wolves just had Jimenez off and Leeds loose their keeper and that is their 4th sub Dale Self 25 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:22:45 Hey, check out the Wolves - Leeds match, red card to Jimenez. Starting to think there is something to the conspiracy. Okay, he was on a yellow from the first half though. Rob Halligan 26 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:24:10 That's a ridiculous second yellow card for Jimenez. What exactly was he meant to do? The ball was there to be won, and he went for it, simple as. These Premier League referees are fucking shite. Des Farren 27 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:24:54 Which conspiracy is that, Dale? Rob Halligan 28 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:26:28 Des, I don't know, I'll let you know on Sunday night, but rest assured, I will enjoy giving that shithouse Attwell unmerciful abuse on Sunday afternoon. Dale Self 29 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:32:17 Now I'm mad. Wolves 2-1 Leeds Bill Gall 30 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:32:39 And Leeds pull 1 back! Bill Gall 31 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:34:05 It's now 2-2!! Rob Halligan 32 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:34:09 What the Fuck is the Wolves defence doing? Utter shambles. Soren Moyer 33 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:35:28 Oh shit!!!! John Atkins 34 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:37:03 For fuck's sake! The game was in the bag for Wolves there. Dale Self 35 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:39:16 Hey Soren, good timing man. Michael Lynch 36 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:42:38 Every reffing decision seems to be designed to fuck us up at the moment. I'm not paranoid but they're all out to get us! Soren Moyer 37 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:46:45 Is that South Korean dude still alive after he appeared to be shot 3 times at Goodison Park? Just got subbed in!!!! Brent Stephens 38 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:57:21 For fuck's sake... Bill Gall 39 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:58:02 Leeds got another: 2-3 Soren Moyer 40 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:58:18 3-2 Leeds Brent Stephens 41 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:58:41 Listen to fecking Carragher. He's ecstatic at the Leeds winner. I wonder why. Craig Walker 42 Posted 18/03/2022 at 21:59:18 Another ref costing us. Pete Hughes 43 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:00:33 Oh, fuck off, Wolves!!! Bill Gall 44 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:01:20 That puts them 4pts ahead of us instead of the 1 that it should have been.We still have 3 games in hand over them. Michael Lynch 45 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:03:01 Message has gone out to all refs: relegate Everton this season. Danny Baily 46 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:03:23 Would be great to see Wolves upset the referee's script. Bill Gall 47 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:04:46 Craig, that's not another ref that's our friend... K Friend. John Keating 48 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:05:29 Games in hand? The way we are are right now – meaningless.Points on the board every time and Leeds have them. Kunal Desai 49 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:07:39 Two from three now. Shite and Man City to do the business after the international break. Jamie Evans 50 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:08:01 Burnley away is huge. Brent Stephens 51 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:08:48 John #45 exactly. At the bottom of the table it's hard to pick up points. There's a somewhat better chance of not dropping any more points than the teams below you do. Colin Glassar 52 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:09:11 Leeds showing us what fight, desire and a bit of skill can achieve... Michael Lynch 53 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:09:25 Absolute disgrace that. It really does feel like everything is conspiring against us. Thank Christ we got that win last night, despite the ref's attempt to stop us.Must be Burnley's turn to get a helping hand next time – be a double whammy red card against Man City to give Liverpool a leg-up and give us another kick in the bollocks. Soren Moyer 54 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:12:02 Yes, we got 3 points yesterday but we were awful – nothing like how Leeds attack. We have no pace, no composure, no playing style, no nothing! How do we get out of this is anyone's guess, tbh! Bill Gall 55 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:13:46 Colin, I think that Everton players showed that last night and we were the ones with a man sent off. What gets me is every one says what a great defensive team Wolves are, yet they fell apart when their striker was sent off. Colin Glassar 56 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:20:39 Bill, I have to agree with Soren. Despite winning with 10 men we were, and have been, awful for months now. There's really nothing to our game. No real tactics, togetherness, fight or wit. So our only possible saving grace is the teams below us continue to lose and we win enough games at home to avoid the drop. Bill Gall 57 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:21:49 Listening to Lescott and Caren both say that the Wolves player never deserved the second yellow. Maybe some of these other teams will see what we are up against with referees. Stephen Brown 58 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:22:19 A little bit of my joy has been taken away after seeing that result. Pathetic sending off again! Burnley away is now a huge huge game! Barry Hesketh 59 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:24:32 Colin @53What was that last night then? – an effing mirage? Fight, togetherness not pretty but effective and if the team can do that again a few times we won't have a problem. Sometimes I think that we are trying to cry in our luck or are determined to 'prepare' ourselves for the inevitable. If we do go down, it'll be because we deserve to; likewise if we stay up. Brent Stephens 60 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:31:41 Colin, that "awful" Everton got 3 points last night. That's all that matters now – that we are less "awful" than the teams we play, that we are the better team in each game. Last night, we were the better team. What do we want, nice-looking football at the risk of losing games? Andy Crooks 61 Posted 18/03/2022 at 22:57:02 Anthony Hughes @5 and Jim Bennings @ 7, why don't you 're-read your posts again and take a fucking red neck at the utter witlessness of them.Man Bun queen? Fem-Dominic? Is that the best you can come up with? What sad, creepy specimens you look. Rob Halligan 62 Posted 18/03/2022 at 23:09:37 Leeds had to make three subs in the first half, so how come, when their keeper went off injured in the second half, they were allowed to replace him with a reserve goalie, meaning they still had 11 players on the pitch, or has the rule regarding goalies changed again?Sorry, just seen Bills post regarding a player being subbed due to concussion. I know a 4th sub is allowed if an earlier player is subbed due to concussion.
