Sometimes it makes me wonder why our players these days seem to be permanently injured or picking up one injury after another compared to when the game was more physical.

There were seasons in the '90s when the same team played every week, no injuries or excuses.

Now, it's 12 weeks out, then another 4 weeks getting fit, then a setback, and another 6 weeks out.

It's bad enough suffering from what Everton do to us, without concerning ourselves with the exploits of the naybores. I'd take relegation if it meant the obsessive need for some to watch the other lot and then report it, would end. Sadly I don't even think that will happen as it will likely increase the number of posts about how they are doing in the Premier League and beyond.

I'm the same myself, because I believe we have to play with three central midfielders to stop us getting overrun in the middle of the park, bearing in mind that our central defenders always go into their default position (15 to 25 yards backwards) the minute we get put under a bit of pressure, even when we play with a back five.

I think that Everton players showed that last night and we were the ones with a man sent off. What gets me is every one says what a great defensive team Wolves are, yet they fell apart when their striker was sent off.

There's really nothing to our game. No real tactics, togetherness, fight or wit. So our only possible saving grace is the teams below us continue to lose and we win enough games at home to avoid the drop.

Fight, togetherness not pretty but effective and if the team can do that again a few times we won't have a problem. Sometimes I think that we are trying to cry in our luck or are determined to 'prepare' ourselves for the inevitable. If we do go down, it'll be because we deserve to; likewise if we stay up.
