Disclaimer John Keating 1 Posted 21/05/2022 at 15:06:30 Ellis Simms starting for Hearts today against Rangers in the Final. Michael Kenrick 2 Posted 21/05/2022 at 15:16:43 Looked to be a tremendous goal for Sunderland... but the Wycombe goalie Stockdale made a dreadful mistake. Mike Gaynes 3 Posted 21/05/2022 at 15:20:03 Stockdale? What is he, about 63? Must be on his 30th club. Michael Kenrick 4 Posted 21/05/2022 at 15:40:22 Scottish Cup Final is on BBC iPlayer. Danny O’Neill 5 Posted 21/05/2022 at 15:48:51 Just turned in on and caught the last 5 minutes of the first half. Couldn't see Simms. Did he start? Is he playing?Edit: just listened to the half time review. Apparently should have scored? Michael Kenrick 6 Posted 21/05/2022 at 16:17:03 Yes, Danny, he looked an awful lot like Calvert-Lewin, coming in a little late and overstretching to collide with ball and post. Maybe if our cross-dresser does leave us, Frank can promote Ellis to be a starter? Seems more of Rangers pressing now... that lad Lundstram looks familiar. Michael Kenrick 7 Posted 21/05/2022 at 16:19:10 Meanwhile, at Wembley, I don't think we'll see Nathan Broadhead unless Wycombe get a goal. Michael Kenrick 8 Posted 21/05/2022 at 16:20:46 And how on earth did Wycombe not score then? Golden chance for Volkes. Michael Kenrick 9 Posted 21/05/2022 at 16:48:30 Broadhead on with 3 minutes left, replacing the second goal-scorer, Stewart. Danny O’Neill 10 Posted 21/05/2022 at 17:01:06 Good article in the Athletic on Lundstram, Michael, titled "John Lundstram: The Scouse Viking who has gone from outcast to ‘best on earth' at Rangers"A good example of a player who doesn't give up and opted to drop down a few divisions to make the journey back.Nice touch about him hearing about his former youth team having their container in Garston set on fire. He wasn't on Premier League wages but personally gave the coach £1,000 to help. Allen Rodgers 11 Posted 21/05/2022 at 17:22:32 Alex Neil was at Goodison the other night. John Keating 12 Posted 21/05/2022 at 17:35:34 Simms played well considering he was more or less up front by himself marked by the two Rangers centre-halves. Held the ball up well. Could have scored after 10 minutes, sliding in at the back post. Led with his right foot and ball hit the post, had he gone in with his left may well have gone in.Lundstram played really well as he did in the Europa League Final.MotM was Calvin Bassey, by far, as was against Frankfurt on Wednesday. Jay Harris 13 Posted 21/05/2022 at 17:43:32 Peter Reid was at the Sunderland game. He must be happy after seeing those 2 wins. Geoff Trenner 14 Posted 21/05/2022 at 17:55:14 Bassey MOTM? Shirley not! Dale Self 15 Posted 21/05/2022 at 18:02:33 Well played, Geoff!
