Disclaimer Kieran Kinsella 1 Posted 14/06/2022 at 20:39:27 Typical Everton. No one defending the cross for the first goal then giving away a needless penalty for 0-2. For fuck's sake.... Kenwright Out!!! 2-0 at half-time to Germany. Oh wait… I just saw the blue and white kits and assumed… Bill Gall 2 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:19:28 England loosing to Hungary 0-2. Not hearing anything from the commentators about Ramsdale in goal; if Pickford was in goal you would have never heard the last from the commentators that he should have done better for them 2 goals. Now 3 nothing andJ.Stones sent off. Paul Jones 3 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:25:31 Stones sent off for no reason at all.Pickford's fault. Michael Kenrick 4 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:26:41 3rd goal smacked in for Hungary past the hapless Ramsdale... and now Stones second yellow and red: sent off.Gareth will be gone, the perfect role for Frank? Paul Swan 5 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:27:28 Beaten twice at his near post. Pickford would have been hung drawn and quartered for that. Rob Halligan 6 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:30:10 No doubt Danny Mills will blame the Everton fans for this, simply because the referee is French. Same way Mills blamed us for the RS trouble in Paris. Have to say though, England are garbage. Rob Halligan 7 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:33:01 4-0. 😅😅😅😅 Paul Swan 8 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:33:40 Ramsdale absolute garbage. Let's put this one to bed once and for all. Michael Kenrick 9 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:34:00 I don't think Ramsdale got the memo about "Keeping Goal". Kieran Kinsella 10 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:35:55 I can't remember seeing England ever lose so heavily not to mention to a no name championship at best opponent. What an embarrassment. I guess our worst ever defeat was 7-1 … to Hungary Rob Halligan 11 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:37:04 I think we might be relegated after this. As for the world cup, forget that!! Ian Jones 12 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:38:27 Let's be fair to Ramsdale. He's kept the score down, it would have been 6 or 7 if Jordan P had been playing Kieran Kinsella 13 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:40:18 I wasn't around in the 70s but we went from a World Cup final and Euro semi in the 60s to not even qualifying for two world cups or the 76 Euros. Similar collapse on the cards? Kieran Kinsella 14 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:41:52 Hungary only had five shots on target. So one save for Ramsdale? Anthony Murphy 15 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:42:49 Has already been said, but if Pickford was in goal tonight he would be getting absolutely slaughtered. His England career would be over and there would be a queue a mile long of gobshites explaining how they had been advocating for Ramsdale for months. Kieran Kinsella 16 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:44:23 Hunbelievable. Rob Halligan 17 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:44:48 Kieran, I can't remember Ramsdale making a save, so maybe the fifth shot on target was blocked by a defender? Anyway, to concede 80% of the shots for a keeper to face is pretty embarassing. Allen Rodgers 18 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:50:05 I didn't think Stones had the energy to be sent off and Pickford was at fault for all 4 goals too. I love my country but, for some reason, I despise England as a team. Can't explain it. Bill Gall 19 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:52:23 Commentator said heaviest defeat for England on home soil since they lost to Scotland 1/5 I think he said in 1928. Ramsdale may have stopped a couple of the goals if it wasn't for his short arms. Simon Dalzell 20 Posted 14/06/2022 at 21:56:46 Ramsdale. Pathetic. Jordan by far the best. Tom Bowers 21 Posted 14/06/2022 at 22:00:28 Southgate is a phony and I have said that all along.Just doesn't have the smarts to manage the England team.He has his faves and they are not the best we have. Some of them play a couple of decent league games and he has them in the squad and it helps if you are playing for a London club for some reason. It's one thing to say this is not an important competition but to lose twice to Hungary is a disgrace and he should resign. Andy Meighan 22 Posted 14/06/2022 at 22:07:15 Lee Dixon has blamed Pickford for all 4 goals. And what is it with all these women on the panel. One of them called the keeper Ramsey, doesn't even sound like Pickford. Come on love haven't you got a pile of ironing you should be getting on with. Gary Jones 23 Posted 14/06/2022 at 22:11:10 Rafa-esque right-backs at left-back, right-wingers at left wing, and just pass it about the back until you give up and half-heartedly launch it long. God, I hope we learn to play round pegs in round holes next season. Joe McMahon 24 Posted 14/06/2022 at 22:17:30 I really hope the Pickford haters across the country will shut up now. But they probably won't. Kieran Kinsella 25 Posted 14/06/2022 at 22:27:06 Southgate: “My predecessors endured nights like this.†Hmmm... nope, we didn't have an actual manager in 1928, so you're breaking new ground here, Gareth. Eddie Dunn 26 Posted 14/06/2022 at 22:37:56 One of the women said "exspecially". Then Ashley Cole said "Hungary were more hungry".The thickest panel ever?Southgate is a fuckwit. Wales to beat England in the World Cup. Fran Mitchell 27 Posted 14/06/2022 at 22:46:35 I mean, let's be honest, this whole Nation's League thing means nothing and is indicative of nothing. The players are knackered and don't care and just want the season to end.Italy, Germany, France, Belgium have all had rather underwhelming performances on the whole. The teams that actually care about it are the ones performing well, they are the mid/low ranking teams who a good performance helps qualification for the Euros. While these are basically pre-World Cup friendlies for England and Co, they can't be because they are at the end of the season. Our World Cup chances would improve if the lads were on holiday and resting and we used the Nations League just for a B-team and any players who want to get a chance to impress. Derek Thomas 28 Posted 14/06/2022 at 23:37:54 I'm not too sure if Southgate has much of a clue, but that notwithstanding the Players maybe not totally 100% mentally engaged in the whole Tournament as a 'real thing' Jack Convery 29 Posted 15/06/2022 at 00:27:08 Headline - Thank God For Ramsdale ! Score would have been 10 nil otherwise - so says Lee Dixon.Jordan must be laughing his head off. Ha Ha !! Bonk ! There, what did I tell ya !! Kieran Kinsella 30 Posted 15/06/2022 at 01:03:59 FranI get your point but Belgium lost 4-1 away and to a good team then made up for it with a 6-1 win. France lost unluckily 1-0 twice despite dominating. Germany thrashed Italy and Italy can say they fielded a B team. England put out something close to their best twice against Hungary and were embarrassed then humiliated. So they're in a league of their own in terms of post-season slump. Southgate looks silly now by saying people not in the squad will have a hard time getting in. Maybe after that, these thought they were on Easy Street? Danny O’Neill 31 Posted 15/06/2022 at 01:29:41 Oh well. The season starts in August. Graham Mockford 33 Posted 15/06/2022 at 07:28:00 At least one argument settled.Nick Pope is definitely Englands No 2 goalkeeper. Peter Carpenter 34 Posted 15/06/2022 at 08:48:43 In more interesting news, Costa Rica and Bryan Oviedo qualified for the World Cup. Brian Harrison 35 Posted 15/06/2022 at 09:14:33 I think last night highlighted the fact we have only one world class forward and that's Harry Kane, and those on the fringes are just not up to the task. Gallagher, Saka and Bellingham all show promise but are not ready to play at this level yet. Rob Halligan 36 Posted 15/06/2022 at 09:28:57 Danny, the fixtures are out tomorrow. Our first six fixtures are Chelsea (A), Man City and Arsenal (H), Spurs (A), Liverpool (H) and Man Utd (A). Brian Williams 37 Posted 15/06/2022 at 10:36:34 Rob #36.At last, an easy start to a new season. UTFT.
