Phill Thompson 3 Posted 18/07/2021 at 16:53:07 Isaac Heath is a first year Scholar as from 1st July, he is a small, energetic midfielder so I would expect him to have taken up Price's position in midfield with the mysterious 17 going to left back / left centre back to replace Eli Campbell. With our communications it could be anybody, possibly Joe Anderson, left sided full back/ centre back, but who would know.Nice to see Dobbin off to a cracking start, and an interesting selection in Heath as sub when so young, somebody obviously thinks highly of him, so well done on that. Phill Thompson 4 Posted 18/07/2021 at 17:22:54 Edit to my # 2: Looking at the highlights of the Blackburn match, Joe Anderson came on for the first team in the 2nd half at the same time, wearing the No 7 shirt and playing left-back. Somehow I don't think he's the new Richarlison. The No 17 for the U23s remains a mystery for now. Peter Gorman 5 Posted 18/07/2021 at 18:17:54 Could it be Jack Tierney? My first guess would have been Hagen but I see he is an unused sub. Phill Thompson 6 Posted 19/07/2021 at 09:26:00 Peter, yeah could be Tierney, a centre-back, as it's hard to tell if we played a back three there. There are also three new Scholars listed as defenders who I know nothing about, so it could be one of them. Hopefully, we'll get team sheets when the season starts.
