Disclaimer Dave Abrahams 1 Posted 23/04/2022 at 12:58:19 Everton U18s drew 1-1 with Burnley U18s this morning with a goal from Barker in the 75th minute and Burnley equalising with 3 minutes remaining. Michael Kenrick 2 Posted 23/04/2022 at 16:41:10 After the fiasco of not naming two of their schoolboy substitutes against Newcastle U18s, the club seems to have done a U-turn with Ebere and Maher being named today. Maybe it was Maher and Bates they refused to name that day. Checking back on the official website, I see they have now been added to the line-up for that Newcastle game. Phill Thompson 3 Posted 23/04/2022 at 20:34:05 I noticed that Daniel Maher had come on against Newcastle, Michael, but didn't remember he hadn't been named at the time. This is my take on Schoolboys who have played or been named in a squad at U18 this season, any I've missed?Seb Jensen (goalkeeper) Ishe Samuels-SmithCallum BatesDaniel MaherMatthew ApterCoby EbereEmilio Lawrence Martin Sherif7 outfielders is a decent number of Schoolboys, particularly as three – Samuels-Smith, Lawrence, Sherif – have been regulars. Michael Kenrick 4 Posted 23/04/2022 at 21:07:10 Phil, I do have a couple more names to add. Don't know if they are officially schoolboys or not:Jacob Beaumont-ClarkJack ButlerSaja ManafaGeorge PickfordThey've all been on the bench or subbed in at least once. Looks like Shae Cahill is now a regular – he's been involved in the last 6 games. The only name I had listed that we haven't seen yet is Johnson Opawole – and a wonderful name it is too!Just two more games left for these lads. Cheers! Phill Thompson 5 Posted 23/04/2022 at 22:29:16 Good calls, Michael, I'd forgotten about Jack Butler and Jacob Beaumont-Clark. They featured very early on, I can't remember them of late though. Beaumont-Clark was in and around the England set up with Lawrence. George Pickford is another goalkeeper. Manafa is a first-year Scholar though. A comprehensive list.
