Season › 2021-22 › News Evertonians bring their amazing support to Finch Farm Lyndon Lloyd Saturday, 7 May, 2022 19comments | Jump to most recent Hundreds of Everton fans followed up the magnificent show of support they put on ahead of the Chelsea game by assembling at the gates of Finch Farm this afternoon to see the first-team coaches off to Leicester. Images and video of the thousands of Blues who thronged the streets around Goodison Park before last Sunday's crucial win inspired another call for fans to head to the club's training complex in Halewood to cheer the players ahead of tomorrow's match at the King Power Stadium. Super Frank 🔵⚪ï¸ðŸŸ¡ pic.twitter.com/hrbA9gD4S9— Everton Fans' Forum (@EFC_FansForum) May 7, 2022 The narrow, hedge-lined road that leads to Finch Farm was choked with people waving flags, holding blue smoke canisters aloft and cheering, while some younger Evertonians received fist-bumps from a visibly chuffed Frank Lampard though the coach window. It's all part of an unprecedented collective effort by Evertonians to lift the team in its bid to avoid relegation this season and, in this instance, motivate them to pick up what would be their first win away from home since August. Let's do this Everton. Jay Evans 6 Posted 07/05/2022 at 20:01:57 Unless I'm mistaken, this kind of thing is almost always reserved for finals or maybe semi - finals isn't it ? I know our loveable neighbours have welcomed opponents in a somewhat similar fashion but didn't that involve criminality for the most part ? It is one thing to do something like this when your team is flying, but to carry on this way with half a dozen games still to go is beyond special. For me, today's scenes surpass even the Chelsea game. This is the training ground for God's sake …. the day before an away game !!!!!Just imagine if we were successful. One love. One team. One Everton.Tell your children 🙠Lee Courtliff 7 Posted 07/05/2022 at 20:03:00 Brilliant stuff. Surely THIS time the players must back up one good performance with another?!Frank must be one of our most popular managers since HK1...imagine if he actually wins us a trophy!!! Dennis Stevens 8 Posted 07/05/2022 at 20:42:03 "When" chaps, not "if"! Danny O’Neill 9 Posted 07/05/2022 at 20:58:48 We do this for our team. For our club.We do this for Everton.I can't wait for tomorrow. Andrew Merrick 10 Posted 07/05/2022 at 21:54:27 That was a special moment, well done you guys coyb Mick O'Malley 11 Posted 08/05/2022 at 09:01:30 Lee@7 Agreed and I think Frank is becoming one of us, I'm loving the way he is sticking up for the club, no matter what happens come the end of the season I hope we stick with Lampard, he is bringing the players and fans together, amazing scenes! UTFT! COYB! Matthew Williams 12 Posted 08/05/2022 at 11:13:19 So proud...time to win away and lift us up past Burnley and Leeds. As Bomber Bellew said... we're Everton,we DON'T go down!COYB Derek Knox 13 Posted 08/05/2022 at 11:26:21 Great stuff, the only thing missing was Blue Bill's Head on a Stake !We are getting there, fantastic support again, you'd think we were going to a Final. If they treat every game from now on as a Final, we will survive. Makes me proud to be a Blue, not that I wasn't before but that and Sunday has rekindled something, Solidarity ! Brian Murray 14 Posted 08/05/2022 at 13:54:14 brings a year to my eyes. wish i'd known or thought on. Club doesn't deserve this support. coyb Tommy Coleman 15 Posted 08/05/2022 at 16:11:43 Brilliant stuff!! Kieran Byrne 16 Posted 08/05/2022 at 17:05:58 Great win !!Evertonians are Magic!!!What a crowd, spirit of the blues was loud & clear all game, fantastic away support!!!Biggest win of the year til Wednesday when we need another!!Coyb Julie Naybour 18 Posted 08/05/2022 at 23:50:17 To every Evertonian that went to Finch farm today, Goodison last weekend, and Leicester away, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.Incredible support, after a season that didn't particularly deserve this support but at a time when it was never more needed. There's been times this season when the club has felt torn apart with fans even turning on their own. But this support which has really made a massive, massive difference, has highlighted what a special club we are. This must be unprecedented. !!!Its easy to offer this sort of support when a club is winning but this is amazing. The club feels united and I think Frank has played a part in that so long may it continue.Well done every player aswell. They gave their all.Not safe yet but. Kevin O'Regan 19 Posted 09/05/2022 at 10:03:26 Nicely said Julie. Great to see the passion our Manager has instilled in the players now joining forces with the renewed enthusiasm of the fans. Things starting to come together now. Build slowly and with long lasting quality this tme please.FANtastic. Keep this support going in this same direction. The team needs it badly. Gary Jones 20 Posted 10/05/2022 at 08:28:14 Understand there are plans afoot to “see the coach off to Watford†today at Finch Farm too. 3:15 pm it leaves apparently.
