Everton U21s are on the road to the Newcastle United Academy on Tyneside today as they take on the Geordies in their 7th Premier League 2 fixture, kicking off at 1 pm — the same time as the senior side at the London Stadium.

It's been a pretty rotten season for Paul Tait's charges as well so far this season, with the young Blues on a similar record to the senior team: 1 win and 2 draws in their first 6 games.

Everton went behind to a penalty scored in added time before the break and could do nothing to change the scoreline. 

Everton U21s: Barnsley, Dixon, John (52' Butler), Astley, Campbell, Metcalfe [Y:24'], Djankpata, J Patterson, Okoronkwo, McAllister (67' Sherif), Heath [Y:34'] (73' Bates).
