There was a suggestion that Dele Alli would play tonight but he is not in the starting line-up or on the incomplete 4-man bench. However, Andre Gomes starts again in his bid for match fitness. Everton scored first through Martin Sherif. But the lead lasted less than a minute and the young Baggies followed that a few minutes later with the go-ahead goal. Gomes came off at half-time, with the visitors later getting a third to seal the win. There is some talk that Everton asked Spurs for approval to play Dele but no approval came through.
