That's what they said on the TV game commentary, mate.

The bans for bookings etc don't have any logic. If a player gets sent off in a reserve fixture, he is banned for first-team games.

They should apply the rule used in European comps. All cards and bans count only in the competition for which they are incurred.

I'm not doubting you, Brian, it just doesn't seem fair.
