Michael Kenrick 2 Posted 02/11/2024 at 12:48:07 I thought Gordon played on the left for the Skunks Maggots?Don't tell Rob Halligan but he just put in a perfect cross from the right, with his right foot, pinpoint accurate for Isak to head it in and give them the lead. Mikel Arteta not happy. Phil Sammon 3 Posted 02/11/2024 at 13:41:03 There is no easier way to score than getting early crosses into the box. We have very capable wingers and a very capable striker if we were to employ this. It's weird Dyche doesn't seem to encourage it. Tony Abrahams 4 Posted 03/11/2024 at 18:05:44 Sickening this modern game, especially with VAR being so very selective. Listening to Gary Neville, he might be correct in what he's saying about the Chelsea keeper, but I'm sure he would have had a lot more to say if it would have been the Chelsea player who had cheated. The keeper should have pulled his hands away because that would have proved beyond doubt that the United player cheated but, because he didn't, United get a penalty, even though anyone who has ever played the game knows that wasn't really a penalty.I'm glad Chelsea have just equalized because I hate cheats, although if it would have been at the other end, I'm sure a Chelsea player would have done exactly the same thing. Danny O'Neill 5 Posted 03/11/2024 at 18:09:34 I'm watching a very poor game. Both teams wasteful in possession and seeming to pass to the other team. Fred Quick 6 Posted 03/11/2024 at 18:17:15 Tony @4If that had been an Everton forward at Goodison in the same incident, a) the referee would probably have not instantly awarded it, b) the VAR would not have over-ruled his non-decision. It didn't take much time for VAR to come to its decision either did it? It usually takes a couple of hours before any VAR decision in an Everton game.I agree with Danny, it has been a very poor standard out on the pitch at Old Trafford, although it has picked up bit since the penalty was scored. Ray Roche 7 Posted 03/11/2024 at 18:33:00 Tony @4,If the keeper ‘handles' the forward's foot, why did the foot shoot up behind him? If I trip you up your foot stays near the floor and you fall down, nothing in that passage of play should have resulted in both feet flying up behind the cheating forward. I'm pissed off with ‘contact' resulting in players cheating for fouls and penalties. Tony Abrahams 8 Posted 03/11/2024 at 18:35:41 I only had one eye on the game, Fred, and my overall thought was that because most of the action seemed to be around the kid Garnacho, was that although he was making quite a few mistakes, he's learning the game and his work rate is very infectious. Anyone coming to Everton will hopefully build a team around infectious hard workers and players who are full of enthusiasm and want to run. I'm not asking for much, am I?It's very off-putting watching cheats and sometimes I do wonder what the cameras are actually for. Tony Abrahams 10 Posted 04/11/2024 at 13:59:35 So you have got to be inexperienced to take longer to make the right call.Ref Watch is an absolute farce but it wouldn't be if it was Howard Webb in the studio. Fred Quick 11 Posted 04/11/2024 at 20:27:44 Brentford second best for most of the first 25 minutes and then one of their lads has a pop from outside the box and hey presto! One-nil to the visitors. A good hit though! Bill Gall 12 Posted 04/11/2024 at 20:31:34 Brentford just showed what can happen if you shoot on goal. Paul Hewitt 13 Posted 04/11/2024 at 20:47:04 Wish we had got Smith Rowe. Good player Paul Hewitt 14 Posted 04/11/2024 at 20:52:54 Think I've seen every Premier League team play this season. And it's only us that plays 1970s ale house shite. Liam Mogan 15 Posted 04/11/2024 at 20:54:48 Watching a pretty average Brentford - Fulham game, but both are miles ahead of Everton in terms of attacking intent, having a plan beyond your own half-way line and passing to a player wearing the same colour shirt.Saturday's display just did it for me. How can you go to the weakest team in the Premier League and treat them like Real Madrid? It was a truly cowardly display. I've had a lot of sympathy for Dyche given the shit show he's had to deal with. But the sheer lack of intent coupled with leaving your best player on the bench was totally stupid. That's rank bad management. Liam Mogan 16 Posted 04/11/2024 at 20:56:53 Paul @14,You're doing a disservice to 1970s ale house teams. At least they had a go. Bill Gall 17 Posted 04/11/2024 at 22:01:08 Deserved win for Fulham. Liam Mogan 18 Posted 04/11/2024 at 22:03:13 Team who plays with intent and tries to positively influence the game deservedly wins football match. Are you watching, Sean Dyche? Bill Gall 19 Posted 04/11/2024 at 22:05:25 You don't think he watches teams that show him up, do you, Liam? Liam Mogan 20 Posted 04/11/2024 at 22:08:11 He can't watch any teams then Bill. They all show us up. John Raftery 21 Posted 04/11/2024 at 22:17:23 I like Thomas Frank because he seems to make the best of what he has available. His name has been mentioned as a possible successor to Dyche.Tonight his team had six touches in the Fulham box in the first eighty plus minutes of the match. In an attempt to keep hold of the 1-0 lead he brought on an extra centre half, Ben Mee, with only a few minutes left. His team could not keep hold of the ball. In the end they were beaten. All of which leaves me wondering what he would do with our players that Dyche isnt doing. Fred Quick 23 Posted 04/11/2024 at 22:26:04 John @22,If tonight's game had have been an audition for the Everton job, I would have many concerns about Frank's suitability. We'll see how he does against Dyche's Everton following the International break, but I couldn't imagine that Dyche's team would have managed to overturn a goal deficit to go on to win the game, so late in the day. Ironically, Brentford fluffed a good chance in stoppage time to steal the points before Fulham scored their own late winner. Mike Gaynes 24 Posted 04/11/2024 at 22:45:31 Frankly, guys, there's not much point in discussing Frank. To be frank about it, there's no way in the world Friedkin will be willing to pay what he'd have to pay for a midtable manager with a 2027 contract who makes almost as much as Dyche. And Frank has been frank about his lack of interest in leaving his London lodgings where he's frankly worshipped by the players and fan base.Don't know why I suddenly have an urge for a dinner Frank. Dave Abrahams 25 Posted 05/11/2024 at 09:01:23 How honest of Harry Wilson to admit the two goals he scored were not intended to go in the way he intended and win the game for Fulham. I thought both goals were lucky although they all count but the ex-Liverpool player goes up in my rating just for being honest – a player Liverpool got rid of even though his potential was very obvious. Rob Halligan 26 Posted 05/11/2024 at 20:12:40 Oh dear… Gyökeres of Sporting Lisbon clean through on goal, with only Ederson to beat, and gently chips the ball into the hands of Ederson. Calvert-Lewin has been slated for less. Brian Williams 27 Posted 05/11/2024 at 20:25:26 He has indeed, Rob, and Gyökeres is on fire this season.Even the best strikers fail in one-on-ones, and that includes Haaland who's missed a handful recently. Rob Halligan 28 Posted 05/11/2024 at 20:28:54 Including a sitter in this game, Brian. A cross from the left, he let the ball run across his body, and with only the goalkeeper to beat, blasted it wide. Colin Crooks 29 Posted 05/11/2024 at 20:33:35 Don't worry… it wont be long before somebody scores a one-on-one. There is far more missed than scored. Rob Halligan 30 Posted 05/11/2024 at 21:09:28 Man City have imploded. Two goals in the first 3 minutes of the second half have put Sporting 3-1 up. Gyökores has two, and now 22 for the season. Makes you wonder why on earth Amorin would leave Sporting Lisbon for Man Utd? Rob Halligan 31 Posted 05/11/2024 at 21:29:00 Haaland is having a nightmare. He's just blasted a penalty onto the bar, and out for a goal kick. Justice really, because was never a penalty in the first place. Silva blasted a shot which hit a defender's arm who was about one foot away. Play went on for a bit until VAR decided the referee should review. It as a similar penalty to the one Man City got against us last season when a shot hit Onana on the arm as he attempted to block the shot. Paul Hewitt 32 Posted 05/11/2024 at 21:36:13 Watching Celtic tonight. My god this is how you play football Lovely pass and move football, with pace from Celtic. We're miles behind in football terms from most teams, with Dyche in charge. Rob Halligan 33 Posted 05/11/2024 at 21:39:30 Gyökeres gets his hat trick, with another penalty. 4-1. Liam Mogan 34 Posted 05/11/2024 at 21:42:19 We were massively linked with Gyökeres but got Beto.If it wasn't for bad luck... Robert Tressell 35 Posted 05/11/2024 at 21:44:23 In fairness to Rodgers, Paul, he does get his teams playing good stuff. A bit like Martinez – and maybe how McKenna is shaping up at Ipswich.I thought there was a good chance we would get Gyökeres that summer, Liam, with Simms going the other way as his replacement. Obviously the latter happened but we lost out to Sporting because it looks like we couldn't afford an upfront fee and, in fairness, you can see why he chose trophies and Champions League football over troubled times with us. He's come a hell of a long way since he was let go by Brighton. Nick Page 36 Posted 05/11/2024 at 21:45:17 Astonishing watching this Man City game. Didn't we look at that Gyökeres? £20M! No doubt the usual scouts called him a dud. Now £85M+ and ridiculous goals record. What happens when you have shit management, shit recruiting and shit owners. Nick Page 37 Posted 05/11/2024 at 21:47:05 Paul H – the TW landed gentry didn't want Gyökeres... Or Nuno. They know fuck all. Liam Mogan 38 Posted 05/11/2024 at 21:58:51 Yes Rob, I believe cash on the barrelhead was the issue with Gyorkeres. Paul Hewitt 39 Posted 05/11/2024 at 21:59:56 Well, Celtic have just beat the team currently second in Germany, playing some of the best football I've seen in years. Liam Mogan 40 Posted 05/11/2024 at 22:07:27 Champions League elitist prick fans and teams though.Madrid fans walking out in disgust cos they got beat. Entitled twats. Only won the Champions League nearly 20 times.Man City boiled egg coach whinging about having no players, Noel fucking Gallagher looking like Professor Yaffle from Bagpuss, wanking off with Ally McCoist as if the world has ended on TNT Sports. Rod Stewart pretending he's a man of the people at Celtic when he dedicated chapters in his autobiography to how not to buy a round, the tight prick.Wankers! Brian Williams 41 Posted 05/11/2024 at 22:19:13 How's the Tourettes treatment going Liam? 🤣 Liam Mogan 42 Posted 05/11/2024 at 22:23:04 Fucking bastatd brilliant tbf Brian 🤣 Rob Halligan 43 Posted 05/11/2024 at 22:24:46 Paul, what happened when the current team in fifth position in the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund, mullered Celtic 7-1? Rob Halligan 44 Posted 07/11/2024 at 21:54:24 Chelsea beating Noah 8-0. Guess theyre a sinking ship!! Danny O'Neill 45 Posted 07/11/2024 at 22:02:56 How is a team from Armenia in a European competition? It's like Israel teams! Mike Gaynes 46 Posted 08/11/2024 at 06:37:58 Rob, Noah was beaten so soundly because of their alignment.2-2-2-2-2.
