Phil (Kelsall) Roberts 3 Posted 30/08/2024 at 10:38:13 What we need is a table comparing age to division. An 18-year-old on loan to a championship club is likely to make it into our first team. A 21-year-old to a Scottish Division 2 team won't and will be sold or released. So what prospects for a 20-year-old in the Scottish Premiership? Nathan Patterson Mk II? Robert Tressell 4 Posted 30/08/2024 at 11:15:35 Phil, to your point there are probably only a small handful of players in the entire Scottish Premiership who are good enough for first team English Premier League football. Campbell will need to look absolutely outstanding at that level to have a chance. I hope he does.In the group of players aged over 16, I doubt Everton expects more than about 5 to ever make a league appearance in the first team — and maybe none as first-team regulars. Phil Smith 5 Posted 31/08/2024 at 19:54:30 Made his debut today. Tough game to come into with Aberdeen top of the league at the moment. Played centre-back and won a few balls and looked okay. Nothing he could have done about the winner. Hopefully gets a few more games up there.
