Season › 2024-25 › News Everton trio in the running for Premier League’s monthly awards Anjishnu Roy 07/03/2025 4comments | Jump to last Everton’s remarkable form in the league, spearheaded by the returning David Moyes, has seen the manager as well as Beto and James Tarkowski nominated for Premier League awards. Moyes, in his second spell in charge, has overseen seven unbeaten games for the Blues who have put a fair amount of distance between them and relegation contenders. Everton put four past Leicester City at home and held Liverpool to a 2-2 draw in the last Merseyside derby at Goodison Park. The Toffees also beat Crystal Palace while drawing against Manchester United and Brentford. As a result, Moyes has been nominated for the Barclays Manager of the Month award along with Crystal Palace’s Oliver Glasner, Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou, Fulham’s Marco Silva, and Arne Slot of Liverpool. Fans will be able to vote for David Moyes on this link. Beto has been instrumental in Everton’s strong form and he has been on a rich scoring streak. The Guinea-Bissau international found the back of the net five times, scoring in four consecutive games. He began February with a brace in the 4-0 annihilation of Leicester and endeared himself to the home crowd by scoring the opener against Liverpool. He was also on the scoresheet against Crystal Palace and Manchester United and was the second-highest goal-scorer in the league last month. Beto, in the running for the PFA Premier League Fans Player of the Month award, will compete with Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta, Brighton forward Yankuba Minteh, Spurs’ Djed Spence and Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai. Vote for Beto here. James Tarkowski has been nominated for Guinness Goal of the Month following his spectacular half-volley in the dying seconds of the final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park. With seconds remaining and Everton chasing a goal, Tarkowski thumped a majestic strike to beat Alisson at his near post and sent the fans into a frenzy. You can vote for Tarky to win Goal of the Month award here. Voting will close at 12 PM (GMT) on Monday, March 10. Danny O'Neill 2 Posted 07/03/2025 at 15:38:37 Call me superstitious Mike, but whilst Moyes deserves it and it would be a great personal accolade for the job he's done, don't vote. The Manager of the Month award has periodically been followed by a downturn. It's like the Board's dreaded vote of confidence, which often gets followed by a manager receiving his marching orders!!!Why is Slot on that shortlist in a month when he got sent off and received a 2-match ban from the sidelines?Tarkowski and Beto deserve it. Moyes does his. Mike Gaynes 3 Posted 07/03/2025 at 15:49:59 Sorry, Danny, I don't mean to jinx anything, but I just had to vote when I saw Slot's name on there in the wake of his disgrace at Goodison.Besides, Moyes has won it 11 times before, so I figure he can handle the additional pressure!
