After three seasons at Everton, James Garner is finally showing some solid consistency in his performances, and that seems to have been noticed down the East Lancs Road with the Rumour Mill claiming that Manchester United will be looking to take their protégé back to Old Trafford when his contract expires in the summer.

In September 2022, he left Old Trafford for Goodison Park in a £15M deal that included £9M upfront and £6M in add-ons. After a rocky start, he's become an increasingly important member of the Everton first-team squad returning from a back injury that saw him miss a big chunk of last season to establish himself as a regular under David Moyes.

Garner, 24, has been one of Everton’s standout performers this season and is gaining a reputation as a valuable utility man, having featured as a midfielder, left-back and right-back so far – and playing well in all three positions.

However, it has already been mentioned that Everton are in talks on a new contract, which should be sufficient to deter the likes of Man Utd and any others who may seek to benefit from his services.

If you looked at Sky, all the media, social media, Man Utd are interested in every Tom Dick and Harry who can wear football boots.
Every year they could fill Old Trafford with every player they have been linked with, its lazy journos and if Man Utd did buy one of the names, they would come out and say, I told you so.
99% is rubbish.

Yep, let's go, 18M up front and 12M in add ons. What's good for the goose, eh.

Why would he want to go back to that train wreck?

Man Utd still hanging on to the Fergie years like the shits at Sly TV. Like the spuds... you've had your time -- move over.

BBC "Gossip" column is reporting interest in Mykolenko from Spain and Italy which might remove him from being a possible central defence alternative.

So it looks like Garner or the scouting network may have their work doubled before the season is out or Aznou suddenly ages.
