Super-sub Baxter saves Latics

Jose Baxter got his Oldham career off to a good start, saving a point at home to Notts County in League One when he came on as a second-half sub and scored the equalizer with 5 mins left.

If he'd just scored the winner for Barca then you may have a point.

He's a decent young player playing in League 1. He will probably be ok in the Championship.

He wasn't going to become a Prem player. We offered him a competitive contract, by his own admission, he wanted first team football so chose to move on. How you can turn this into an anti-Kenwright demo is beyond me.

Baxter hasn't really been given his chance at Everton. But from the little we've seen, he is more than able as a replacement for Osman.

He gave Tranmere a lift by scoring that late equaliser. It put them top of League one. I'm sure he went out on loan to them
